Qualification
Eligible candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.) from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification as defined under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984. Registration with the Uttarakhand Veterinary Council is mandatory. The educational qualification will be verified based on the marksheet issuing or result declaration date. Preference will be given to candidates with postgraduate degrees/diplomas in veterinary sciences, Territorial Army service, or NCC certificates 'B'/'C'. Citizenship criteria include Indian citizens, Tibetan refugees before 1962, or persons of Indian origin from specified countries intending permanent settlement in India.

Selection Process
Selection will be through an objective type written examination with three papers totaling 800 marks. Negative marking of 1/4th marks per wrong or multiple answers will apply. Calculators are not allowed. Minimum qualifying marks vary by category.
