Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE) has announced 8 temporary vacancies for Paid Intern posts across Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Engineering. The internship tenure is for a minimum period of 06 months, with a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 for all posts. Vacancy Details

DRDE has announced a total of 8 vacancies under the Paid Internship Scheme. Vacancies are tentative and may change as per organizational requirement; unfilled vacancies may be merged with other subjects.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be Indian citizens pursuing Graduate or Post Graduate courses and must have a good academic record with 75% & above marks (or ≥ 7.5 CGPA) from AICTE/UGC approved Colleges/Universities. Candidates must also possess a recent referral/sponsorship letter from their respective college or university.

The age limit is Below 28 Years as on 14th Nov, 2026.

आवेदक भारतीय नागरिक होना चाहिए और मान्यता प्राप्त कॉलेज या विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातक या स्नातकोत्तर स्तर पर 75% से अधिक अंक या 7.5 CGPA के साथ अध्ययनरत होना चाहिए। साथ ही आवेदन के लिए संबंधित कॉलेज/विश्वविद्यालय का हाल का रेफरल या स्पॉन्सरशिप पत्र जरूरी है। आयु सीमा 28 वर्ष से कम होनी चाहिए।

Pay and Tenure

The internship will run for a minimum duration of 06 months, starting from 01st January, 2027 onwards. A fixed stipend of Rs. 5,000/- per month will be paid for the entire duration in two equal installments: Rs. 15,000/- after completion of 03 months, and Rs. 15,000/- after completion of 06 months of internship.

No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. Accommodation is not provided by DRDO/DRDE. No TA/DA will be paid for joining.

इंटर्नशिप छह महीने की होगी और जनवरी 2027 से शुरू होगी। कुल 30,000 रुपए का स्टाइपेंड दो किश्तों में मिलेगा, पहले तीन महीनों के बाद 15,000 और पूरे छह महीने पूरे होने पर 15,000 रुपए। आवास या यात्रा भत्ता DRDE द्वारा प्रदान नहीं किया जाएगा।

How to Apply for DRDE Recruitment 2026

Candidates must prepare their application in the prescribed format (Annexure – ‘A’) and submit it along with all required supporting documents either by speed post or via email latest by 14 November 2026.

आवेदन पत्र को निर्धारित प्रारूप में भरकर सभी जरूरी दस्तावेजों के साथ 14 नवंबर 2026 तक भेजना होगा। आवेदन स्पीड पोस्ट या ईमेल दोनों माध्यमों से किया जा सकता है। दस्तावेजों में पासपोर्ट फोटो, स्पॉन्सरशिप पत्र, रिज्यूमे, शैक्षिक प्रमाणपत्र, आधार-पैन कार्ड और बैंक विवरण शामिल हैं। इसके अलावा, रक्षा मंत्रालय के नियमों का पालन करने के लिए हस्ताक्षरित शपथपत्र भी जरूरी है।

Selection and Interview

Candidates will be shortlisted based on educational qualifications and on fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria (minimum 75% marks or ≥ 7.5 CGPA). Mere applying with required documents or fulfilling the required criteria will not ascertain candidature/paid internship. If required, an interaction will be conducted through telephonic mode or Video Conferencing (VC). Only shortlisted candidates will be informed for the interaction or offer of internship, and they must report to the Lab/Establishment as per the terms and conditions mentioned in the internship offer letter. Final selection does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO.

चयन मुख्य रूप से शैक्षिक योग्यता और निर्धारित मानदंडों के आधार पर होगा। आवेदन करने मात्र से इंटर्नशिप सुनिश्चित नहीं होती। आवश्यक होने पर टेलीफोन या वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग द्वारा इंटरव्यू लिया जाएगा। चयनित उम्मीदवारों को ही सूचित किया जाएगा और अंतिम चयन DRDO में स्थायी भर्ती का अधिकार नहीं देता।

Important Dates

आवेदन जमा करने की अंतिम तिथि 14 नवंबर 2026 है। चयनित उम्मीदवारों को 1 दिसंबर 2026 तक सूचित किया जाएगा और इंटर्नशिप 1 जनवरी 2027 से शुरू होगी।

Important Instructions

• Electronic items including smartphones, mobile phones, pen drives, laptops, CD-ROMs, and any type of electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the DRDE Gwalior Campus.
• Attendance must be marked by the interns as per Lab/Establishment procedures or Biometric/Aadhar based systems.
• Working hours and gazetted/closed holidays will be as applicable to the DRDE Lab/Establishment.
• No leave except sick leave (with production of a valid medical prescription) will be granted.
• Interns must submit a progress report after 03 months and a final project report after 06 months/completion of the course.
• A Completion Certificate will be issued only after successful completion of the 06-month project and submission of the project report.
• Original referral/sponsorship letters, qualification certificates, experience, age proof, ID, and address proofs must be produced for verification at the time of reporting.
• Incomplete or erroneous applications or those received after the due date will be rejected.
• The decision of Director DRDE Gwalior will be final in case of any discrepancy.
• No further communication in this regard will be entertained.

DRDE परिसर में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरणों पर प्रतिबंध है और उपस्थिति बायोमेट्रिक या अन्य प्रणाली से दर्ज करनी होगी। इंटर्नशिप के दौरान केवल बीमार छुट्टी मिलेगी। तीन महीने के बाद प्रगति रिपोर्ट और छह महीने के बाद अंतिम रिपोर्ट जमा करना अनिवार्य है। पूरा प्रोजेक्ट सफलतापूर्वक पूरा करने पर प्रमाण पत्र मिलेगा। आवेदन सही और पूरी जानकारी के साथ समय पर जमा करना जरूरी है।
