The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is a statutory body set up under an Act of Parliament. It works under the administrative control of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. ESIC Medical College and Hospital is on Purulia Road, Namkum, Ranchi – 834010, and its Dean is recruiting faculty for the proposed medical college on behalf of ESIC.

Each post also gets other allowances as applicable, which ESIC Headquarters may amend from time to time. These are consolidated remuneration figures under ESIC Headquarters Office Memorandums dated 13.04.2022 and 08.12.2022. Retired employees and pensioners may draw the full pay without any deduction, and they keep receiving their pension and dearness relief during the contract.

• If no PwD candidates are available, the posts will be filled from the panel of candidates who attend the interview, and the PwD reservation will be carried forward.

• If no reserved-category candidate is available, a post may be filled as a de-reserved seat for less than 45 days.
• The competent authority may change which departments the reserved posts are assigned to.

Age Limit (as on the date of interview)

Age relaxation will be given under the prevailing norms of the Government of India.

Educational Qualification

All posts: as per the National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines dated 30.06.2025.

All candidates must hold an up-to-date medical registration with the NMC or a State Medical Council covering all their post-MBBS/MD/MS qualifications. If your registration has not been updated yet, show and submit a copy of the “Applied for” document at the interview. If you do not, you may not be interviewed or your result may be withheld, and selected candidates must produce the updated registration certificate when they join.

Application Fee

Pay the fee by Demand Draft in favour of “ESIC Saving Fund A/c No.-2”, payable at Namkum, and send it with the application form. The fee is not refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

Selection depends on your academic credentials and your performance in an interview before the Selection Board. After the applications are scrutinised, the exact interview date will be published on the ESIC recruitments page with the list of candidates and departments, or emailed to candidates directly. Being called for interview is provisional and depends on a detailed check of your eligibility. The result will be shown in the Recruitment section of the ESIC website, and offers of appointment will be sent by email only.

Service Conditions

• Tenure: 1 year, extendable every year up to a maximum of 3 years if performance is satisfactory, or until a regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier. The engagement can last until you turn 70 at most. It gives no claim to regularisation or to preference for a regular post.
• Leave: 2.5 days of paid leave for each completed month. This is earned leave under the CCS Leave Rules, 1972, with no encashment, no half leave and no advance leave. Holidays and Sundays that fall within a leave period count as leave.
• Security deposit: Rs 30,000/-, interest-free, paid at joining by Demand Draft in favour of “ESIC Saving Fund Account No.2”, payable at Namkum. It is refunded after the contract is completed and you produce a no-dues certificate.
• Notice period: Either side can end the contract with one month’s notice. If you resign on the spot, you must deposit one month’s salary into the ESI account by Challan.
• Agreement: You sign an agreement with the Dean on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.100/-, at your own cost.
• Private practice of any kind is prohibited, and so is working as teaching faculty at another hospital or medical college at the same time.
• There are no PF, pension, gratuity, seniority or promotion benefits, and no accommodation is provided.
• Income tax and professional tax are deducted every month. Attendance is marked both manually and on the Aadhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS).
• Being absent for more than 7 days without permission counts as abandoning the job and ends the contract automatically.

1. Fill in the application in the prescribed format. Submit a separate application for each post. Applications in any other format, or incomplete ones, will be rejected.
2. Attach self-attested copies of the documents listed below, plus the Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- if your category has to pay the fee.
3. Send the application by email (the notice recommends this for speed), by Speed Post or by hand to ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Purulia Road, Namkum, Ranchi – 834010. The email address printed on the notice is [email protected].
4. Make sure the application reaches the office by 2 November 2026. Late applications will not be considered.

• Valid EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwD certificate in the Central Government format, wherever applicable. The EWS certificate must be based on F.Y. 2025-26 and issued on or after 01.04.2026.
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Updated State/NMC medical registration certificate
• Proof of publications and experience certificates
• Certificate for completing the ICMR/NMC Bio-medical research examination and the Revised/Basic Medical Education Workshop, if any
• Relieving certificate or NOC from your previous or current employer, if applicable
• Aadhaar Card and PAN Card
• Demand Draft, if applicable

Originals of all these documents will be checked at the interview and again at joining. Candidates working in a Government, autonomous or statutory institution should preferably bring an NOC. If you do not have it yet, bring a copy of your application for the NOC. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
