Kannur University is filling the post of Registrar of the University through Direct recruitment or on Deputation. The post is on the UGC scale of pay of ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200. It needs 5 years teaching experience at University level and about 5 years of administrative experience. The appointment is for four years, or until the age of fifty-six, whichever is earlier. Kannur University is a university in Kannur, Kerala. Its Administration Branch issued this notification, and the post on offer is the University’s own Registrar. The terms of the appointment are governed by the Kannur University First Statutes 1998.

Who Can Apply

The notice sets the following minimum qualification for the Registrar post:

• A first or second class Post Graduate Degree
• 5 years teaching experience at University level
• About 5 years of administrative experience in a responsible post, including management of staff, in a University or College or Education Department or similar Institution

Age limit: between 40 and 50 years as on 01.01.2026.

Candidates already serving elsewhere may also apply on deputation. Candidates on deputation will be considered as provided in the Kannur University First Statutes 1998, and they must upload a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer.

• Scale of pay: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 (UGC).
• Period of appointment: four years from the date on which the appointee enters office, or until the appointee reaches the age of fifty-six years, whichever is earlier.
• The appointment is on the terms and conditions prescribed by the Kannur University First Statutes 1998.
• Mode of appointment: Direct recruitment or on Deputation.

वेतन UGC पे स्केल के अनुसार ₹1,44,200 से ₹2,18,200 तक है। नियुक्ति की अवधि चार साल की है या 56 वर्ष की आयु तक, जो भी पहले हो। नियुक्ति सीधे भर्ती या डेप्यूटेशन के माध्यम से होगी।

The application must be submitted online through the link on the official website of Kannur University (www.kannuruniv.ac.in). The last date for online applications is 24 November 2026.

1. Open the official website of Kannur University, www.kannuruniv.ac.in, and use the Registrar application link there.
2. Complete the online registration.
3. Pay the application fee of ₹2000 (Rupees Two Thousand only) during online registration.
4. If you are applying on deputation, upload the “No Objection Certificate” from your employer.
5. Submit the online application by 24 November 2026.

Once paid, the fee will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.
