Only Men are eligible for this post (Post Code 43).

Educational Qualification (as per Corrigendum dated 18.09.2026)

• As on 1st July 2026, the candidate must have passed Intermediate or its equivalent examination recognised by the State Government.
• The candidate must possess a correct and clear Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving Licence, which must have been valid for a minimum period of 2 years as on the date of notification.

Candidates possessing a higher qualification than the prescribed one will also be considered for selection on par with candidates possessing the prescribed qualification.

Medical Standards

Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid condition of the eye/lids is a disqualification. Candidates must possess sound health, free from bodily defects. Physically handicapped candidates, and those with knocking-knees, pigeon chest, flat feet, varicose veins, hammer toes, fractured limbs, decayed teeth, stammering, hard of hearing, or abnormal psychological behaviour, are not considered for this post. Candidates are advised to have themselves examined by a Civil Surgeon before applying to confirm they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards.

The prescribed age limits are not relaxed under any circumstances except as specifically provided. Due to multiple relaxation categories, age is not validated in the online application form – candidates must satisfy themselves regarding their age eligibility. Only the date of birth entered in the SSC/Matriculation certificate is accepted; horoscopes, affidavits, or other documents are not accepted as age proof.

Fee covers processing of the application, PMT/PET, Driving Test, and Written Examination. Payment is made online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or other modes available on the SLPRB website, using the candidate’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Community, and SSC Hall Ticket Number (or equivalent). If a candidate pays the fee but fails to press “Submit” on the application form, the application is rejected without notice, and the fee is not refunded under any circumstances.

There is no Preliminary Written Test for this technical post. Candidates report directly for Certificate Verification and the Physical Measurement Test/Physical Efficiency Test as per their Hall Ticket.

1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

*Applicable to Aboriginal Scheduled Tribes (ABO-ST) in the Agency areas of Vizianagaram, Anakapalli, Polavaram, Alluri Sitharamaraju (ASR), Eluru, and Parvathipuram Manyam districts. Height and chest are measured using a digital measurement system.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

All candidates who qualify PMT must attend a 1600 Metre run (1 Mile Run), which is qualifying in nature. Candidates must complete the run in 10 minutes or less to qualify. Events are conducted using electronic timing devices; spike shoes are not permitted. Once conducted, the result of any event is final – no re-test or re-conduct is permitted. Participation in all prescribed events is compulsory for every candidate, including Special Category candidates.

3. Driving Test (100 Marks, Qualifying)

Candidates must qualify with a minimum of 50 marks out of 100. Marks secured in the Driving Test are NOT counted towards final merit – this test is qualifying in nature only.

4. Final Written Examination (Technical Paper)

Only candidates who qualify PMT, PET, and the Driving Test are eligible to appear for the Written Examination, which decides the final merit. The syllabus is given in Annexure I of the official notification.

Minimum Qualifying Marks (Written Examination)

Ex-Servicemen candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks applicable to their respective communal category. Candidates failing to secure qualifying marks are disqualified.

• SLPRB reserves the right to notify modifications regarding any aspect of recruitment at any time during the process.
• By submitting the application, the candidate is construed to have read the notification and to abide by all its terms and conditions.
• Candidates belonging to Backward Classes must produce a Community Certificate and a valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026; failure to produce it at PMT/PET Certificate Verification means the candidate will be considered under Open Category (OC), with no option to change category later.
• SC candidates must submit the latest Community Certificate based on A.P. Ordinance No. 2 of 2025, dated 17.04.2025, as per SC Sub-Classification (Group-I, Group-II, Group-III).
• EWS candidates (local to AP, gross annual family income below ₹8.00 lakh) must submit an EWS certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026 by the concerned Tahsildar.
