Important Dates for WBUAFS BFSc Counselling 2026

काउंसलिंग, दस्तावेज सत्यापन और प्रवेश 15 सितंबर 2026 को सुबह 10:45 से 11:45 बजे तक होगा, और कक्षाएँ अगले दिन 16 सितंबर से शुरू होंगी। यह तारीखें अभ्यर्थियों के लिए बेहद महत्वपूर्ण हैं।

Reservation Policy and Category-wise Rules

• OBC candidates must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) to be eligible as reserved category candidates; otherwise, they will be treated as Unreserved (UR)/General.
• OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued in the appropriate format on or after 01.04.2026, as per current Govt. of West Bengal guidelines.
• PwD seats are filled on a horizontal basis within the respective category.
• Reservation for SC/ST/EWS/PwD follows extant West Bengal Government rules; OBC reservation follows Kolkata Gazette Notification Nos. 944-BCW/MR-23/2026 and 945-BCW/MR-23/2026 (both dated 18.05.2026), and Labr/85-Emp/EC/1M-01/2025 dated 25.05.2026.
• Domicile certificates issued by elected people’s representatives (municipal commissioner, councilor, panchayat member, GTA, MLA, or MP) are not acceptable as domicile proof.
• If a domicile certificate under Proforma b or e-District shows the parent’s domicile, two original ID proofs of the parent (Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, or Passport) showing a West Bengal residential address must be produced during document verification.

Important Instructions

1. The Provisional Merit List has been prepared strictly as per merit.
2. Provisional seat allotment will be made serially from the merit list until seats in the respective categories are filled.
3. All admissions are provisional; if a candidate is found ineligible, or is found to have suppressed material information or submitted false information/documents, the admission will stand cancelled.
4. OBC candidates must submit an updated NCL certificate on the day of counselling, failing which they will be treated as UR/General.
5. Vacant SC seats will be filled by ST candidates and vice versa.
6. Reservation rules follow extant West Bengal Government policy for SC/ST/EWS/PwD and specified Gazette notifications for OBC.
7. A Domicile Certificate in the prescribed format is mandatory; certain issuing authorities are not accepted (see Reservation Policy section above).
8. Participation in counselling does not guarantee admission; the admission committee’s decision is final.
9. The university reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of seats without assigning any reason.
10. Selected candidates must submit the downloaded online Anti-Ragging affidavit at first registration and each subsequent year, through www.antiragging.in and www.amanmovement.org.
