Age Limit

Upper age limit: 35 years.

Educational Qualification and Experience (Essential)

You must meet one of the following:

• B.sc in Radiography/Medical Imaging Technology or equivalent (3 years course) from a recognized University/Institution, with 2 years of experience in operating radio-diagnosis equipment in an established Institute/ Hospital/ Imaging Centre; OR
• DMIT with 3 years of experience in operating radio-diagnosis equipment in an established Institute/ Hospital/ Imaging Center.

Experience will not be counted without a valid experience certificate. For exceptionally meritorious candidates, the Institute may at its discretion relax the age limit or experience, or offer higher pay, subject to approval of the competent authority. Job Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Protect patients and staff from radiation exposure by following sound procedures that meet or exceed recommended industry standards.
• Process radiological film.
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by the Physician, PA or NP.
• Keep all equipment in good working condition and in line with applicable laws and regulations.
• Identify and file reports as required.
• Request, retrieve and track files to and from other departments or centres.
• Maintain the production and quality of radiographs by following set standards, developing radiographs, checking results and making adjustments.

Working hours will be as set by the Health Centre.

• Contract period: The appointment is initially for 01 (one) year. It may be extended depending on performance and requirements.
• Nature: The position is purely temporary. Being called for interview or being selected gives no claim to a permanent post at IIT Bhubaneswar.
• Place of posting: IIT Bhubaneswar.
• Jurisdiction: Any dispute about the selection will be heard only by the Courts/Tribunals in Bhubaneswar.

Selection Process

Selection will be through a Written Test/Skill Test and/or an Interview. If many applications come in, suitable shortlisting criteria may be used to decide how many candidates are called. Meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee a call for the selection test. Shortlisted candidates will be told the date, time and details of the test by email or telephone. After selection, only the selected candidate will be informed by email. Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.

1. Download the official notification (PDF). The prescribed application form is included in it.
2. Fill in the form. Enter “X-ray Technician” as the post applied for, and add your photograph, full name in capital letters, father’s name, addresses, mobile number and email ID (both mandatory), date of birth, citizenship, Aadhaar number and category (GEN/ST/SC/OBC-NCL).
3. List every examination you have passed from Class X onwards, and your jobs in order with the current one first, including basic pay and duties. Also give your total experience in years, months and days.
4. Sign the declaration, then scan the form and your documents in PDF format.
