The Department of Botany, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, will hold a walk-in interview on 9 November 2026 at 11 AM for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Junior Project Fellow (JPF). Posts and Eligibility

There is one position of Junior Research Fellow/Project Fellow (1 No.).

• Essential qualification: Postgraduate in Botany with minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university/institution having qualified National Eligibility Test (NET).
• Desirable qualification: Experience in field survey and plant sampling.

The monthly pay is Rs. 37000 for the 1st two years and Rs. 42000 for the 3rd year, plus HRA@16% per month. The notice states that the Junior Project Fellow (JPF) category applies only when NET-qualified candidates are not available. A JPF will be paid as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Govt. of India.
