Vacancy Details

An asterisk (*) against a PwBD figure denotes a backlog vacancy. If suitable PwBD candidates are not available in a notified disability category, the vacancy may be filled by interchange among the five PwBD categories (A to E), and if no suitable PwBD candidate is available at all, the post will be filled by a candidate other than a person with disability.

Qualification

Graduation must be completed within the stipulated duration prescribed by the university. Allied disciplines acceptable under each stream are listed in FAQs on the ISRO website. Where both CGPA and percentage are mentioned, one must meet eligibility norms. Conversion between CGPA and percentage is not permitted for eligibility. Separate rules apply for Dual/Integrated Degree programmes. Only Indian nationals are eligible.

Age Limit

Age relaxation is applicable for serving Central Government civilian employees, Ex-servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as per Government of India orders. Candidates are advised to verify their age using the official cut-off date before applying.

Application Fee

• All candidates must pay ₹750 as processing fee initially.
• ₹250 is a non-refundable application fee deducted from the processing fee.
• Women, SC/ST/PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates get a full refund of the processing fee after appearing in the Written Test.
• Other candidates get ₹500 refunded after deducting ₹250 application fee, subject to appearing in the Written Test.
• Payment is accepted only online via Bharatkosh e-payment gateway (Internet Banking, UPI, Domestic Debit Cards).
• Cash, cheque, draft, money order, or IPO payments are not accepted.
• Refunds will be credited to bank accounts provided in the application; incorrect details may lead to refund issues.

Selection Process

Selection for ISRO Scientist Engineer SC posts is through a Written Test/Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an Interview. The Written Test has two parts:

The total marks for the Written Test/CBT are 100. The test is held at 37 venues across India. ICRB reserves the right to change test centres.

Candidates are shortlisted for Interview in a 1:5 ratio based on Written Test performance. Separate shortlist for reserved vacancies is maintained.
