There is a total of 1 vacancy for the Jr. Research Fellow position under the Optics and Photonics Centre.

Who Can Apply

Candidates must fulfill the following essential and desirable criteria for the Jr. Research Fellow position:

• Essential Qualification: 1st class B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc in Electrical Engineering Electronics and Communication engineering/Physics/Engineering physics or other relevant field. A strong knowledge of electromagnetics is necessary. GATE/NET is also required.
• Desirable Qualification: A prior experience with photonics (either simulation or experiments) will be preferred.
• Qualification Relaxation: The requirement of a qualifying NET/GATE qualification may be relaxed for candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of more than 8.00 (80% aggregate marks), meritorious candidates.
• Category Relaxation: 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST candidates.

आवेदन के लिए उम्मीदवार का प्रथम श्रेणी में संबंधित विषयों में डिग्री होना जरूरी है, साथ ही GATE या NET क्वालीफिकेशन भी चाहिए। लेकिन केंद्रीय तकनीकी संस्थानों से अधिक अंक वाले मेधावी उम्मीदवारों को ये योग्यता छूट मिल सकती है। SC/ST उम्मीदवारों को 5% अंक में छूट दी जाएगी। फोटोनिक्स में अनुभव होने से चयन में लाभ होगा।

Pay and Tenure

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA at the rate of 27%. The appointment is made on a contractual basis subject to periodic performance review, and is renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier. In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.

Selection and Interview

IIT Delhi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates from those satisfying advertised qualification and requirement of the project post and their name will be displayed on web link (http://ird.iitd.ac.in/shortlisted) alongwith the online interview details. Only short-listed candidates will be informed for online interview.
