About IIIT Pune

IIIT Pune is an Institute of National Importance set up by an Act of Parliament in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Its permanent campus is at Talegaon (Maval), Dist. Pune, Maharashtra – 410507, in the foothills of the Western Ghats. These appointments are governed by the IIIT Act and statutes.

All three are Group B posts. The Institute reserves the right to change the number of vacancies.

जूनियर सुपरिंटेंडेंट के लिए 6 पद हैं जो विभिन्न श्रेणियों (UR, OBC-NCL, SC) में विभाजित हैं, जबकि दोनों जूनियर इंजीनियर पदों के लिए एक-एक UR पद है। पद समूह B के अंतर्गत आते हैं और पदों की संख्या बदली भी जा सकती है।

IIIT Pune Junior Superintendent and Junior Engineer Eligibility 2026

Age limit: 32 years for all three posts. Your age is checked against the date of birth on your 10th certificate or birth certificate. No other document is accepted.

Nationality: Indian nationals can apply, including Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs).

Junior Superintendent

• Essential: First class Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience in relevant area, OR Post Graduate with 4 years relevant experience.
• Desirable: Experience in Establishment Matters, Finance and Accounts, Audit, RTI, Stores and Purchase, Administration, Academic matters, Legal matters etc. in Central Government/State Government/Central Govt. Autonomous Bodies/Central University/CFTIs/IITs/NITs/IIITs etc.

Junior Engineer (Civil)

• Essential: Degree in Engineering in relevant field with 02 years experience, OR Diploma in Engineering with 05 years experience.
• Desirable: Experience in civil engineering works in Central Government/State Government/Central Govt. Autonomous Bodies/Central University/CFTIs/IITs/NITs/IIITs etc. The notice lists building construction and maintenance, estimation and costing, BOQ and quantity surveying, site supervision, infrastructure development, water supply and sanitation, STP/drainage systems, preparation and interpretation of drawings, contract/work management, quality control, CPWD/PWD specifications, horticulture, basic plumbing and carpentry maintenance, and campus infrastructure maintenance.

Junior Engineer (Electrical)

• Essential: Degree in Engineering in relevant field with 02 years experience, OR Diploma in Engineering with 05 years experience.
• Desirable: Experience in the same types of government bodies listed above. The notice names electrical installation and maintenance, LT/HT distribution systems, transformers, substations, DG sets, UPS and power backup systems, electrical panels and cabling, lighting, earthing, fire alarm/ELV systems, central air-conditioning and HVAC systems, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, cooling towers, ventilation, ducting, pumps, thermostats and associated control systems, estimation and costing, electrical safety, statutory compliance, contract/work management, and campus electrical infrastructure maintenance.

Qualification and experience rules

• Your qualifications must come from a recognised Board, University or Institute. If you claim an equivalent qualification, you must show proof at document verification.
• If your university has no CGPA conversion formula or definition of First Class, 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA counts as First Class.
• Only full-time experience counts, and any single period shorter than six months is ignored. Experience certificates must be on official letterhead, signed by the Competent Authority, and must show your designation and pay level or pay.
• Qualifications and experience are counted as on the last date of online submission.

Age relaxation

• SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates get relaxation as per Government of India norms for reserved posts.
• Contractual and outsourced employees of IIIT Pune get relaxation equal to their continuous service in an equivalent post at the Institute, up to a maximum of 10 years, if that service is in the same line or an allied cadre.
• Regular employees of Central Govt., State Govt., Central Autonomous Bodies, CFTIs, IITs, NITs, IIITs and PSUs with at least 3 years of continuous regular service get up to 5 years, if the post is in the same line or an allied cadre.
• PwBD reservation and relaxation apply only to persons with 40% or more disability, as defined in DoPT OM No. 36035/02/2017-Estt (Res) dated 15th January 2018.

आयु सीमा सभी पदों के लिए 32 वर्ष है और उम्र केवल 10वीं या जन्म प्रमाण पत्र से मापी जाएगी। सभी पदों के लिए भारतीय नागरिकता अनिवार्य है। जूनियर सुपरिंटेंडेंट पद के लिए प्रथम श्रेणी स्नातक डिग्री और संबंधित क्षेत्र में अनुभव चाहिए या पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट के साथ कम अनुभव स्वीकार्य है। इंजीनियर पदों के लिए डिग्री के साथ 2 वर्ष या डिप्लोमा के साथ 5 वर्ष अनुभव जरूरी है। आरक्षित वर्गों को नियमानुसार आयु में छूट मिलेगी। अनुभव पूर्णकालिक होना चाहिए और योग्यता मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान से होनी चाहिए।

Application Fee

You pay the fee on the portal, and it is not refunded. Regular employees of IIIT Pune do not pay a fee. If you apply for more than one post, you must send a separate application and fee for each post.

सामान्य, OBC, और EWS उम्मीदवार 1180 रुपये और SC/ST/PwBD/महिलाएं 885 रुपये शुल्क ऑनलाइन जमा करेंगी। IIIT पुणे के नियमित कर्मचारी शुल्क से मुक्त हैं। एक से अधिक पदों के लिए अलग आवेदन और शुल्क देना होगा।

Important Dates

The competent authority may extend the closing date.

आवेदन 29 अक्टूबर 2026 से शुरू होंगे और ऑनलाइन आवेदन की अंतिम तारीख 28 नवंबर 2026 रात 11:59 बजे है। अंतिम दस्तावेज हार्ड कॉपी 9 दिसंबर 2026 शाम 5:30 बजे तक पहुंचना आवश्यक है। तारीख बढ़ाने का अधिकार संस्थान के पास है।

Selection Process

A Screening Committee checks every application. If it asks you for more documents or clarifications, you get three working days to send them. The provisional shortlist is posted on the Institute website, and you then have three working days to raise any grievance by email. Admit cards are sent through the portal or to your registered email, usually at least 21 days before the exam. All tests are held at IIIT Pune, Talegaon, and no TA/DA is paid.

Junior Superintendent (Annexure-I)

Domain Knowledge covers the Constitution and government machinery, the Manual of Office Procedure, FRSR, reservation rules, CCS (Leave, CCA, Conduct, Pension) rules, pay fixation, TA and LTC rules, NPS, GPF, GFR 2017, GeM and CPPP, the RTI, RTE, GST, POSH and Arbitration Acts, NEP 2020, ranking frameworks, Sustainable Development Goals, and e-management systems (Samarth, e-Office, IT Act).

Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical) (Annexure-II and III)

The Civil syllabus covers building materials, concrete technology, building construction, estimating and valuation, contracts, surveying, geotechnical, transportation, environmental and structural engineering, RCC design and GFR (Works). The Electrical syllabus covers basic concepts, measuring instruments, electrical machines, generation, transmission and distribution, estimation and costing, contracts, utilisation of electrical energy, HVAC, solid waste management and GFR (Works).

Rules for all posts

• Every wrong answer in Stage-I loses 1/4 mark.
• Up to 8 times the number of advertised posts may be shortlisted for Stage-II.
• The Institute may shortlist more strictly, for example by higher qualifications, more relevant experience, or experience in government bodies.
• Ties are broken in this order: higher Domain Knowledge marks, then more relevant experience in a Govt. institution, then the older candidate, then alphabetical order of first name.
• A waitlist panel may be kept for one year.

चयन प्रक्रिया में पहले आवेदन की जांच होती है, फिर लिखित परीक्षा (Stage-I) होती है, जिसके लिए गलत उत्तर पर 0.25 अंक की कटौती होती है। जूनियर सुपरिंटेंडेंट की मेरिट केवल लिखित परीक्षा के अंक पर आधारित है, जबकि इंजीनियर पदों के लिए लिखित परीक्षा और व्यावहारिक परीक्षा (JoPT) के अंक जोड़े जाते हैं। 8 गुना उम्मीदवारों को अगले चरण के लिए बुलाया जा सकता है। टाई होने पर डोमेन नॉलेज और अनुभव को प्राथमिकता दी जाती है। परीक्षा IIIT पुणे के परिसर में होगी और कोई यात्रा भत्ता नहीं मिलेगा।

Service Conditions

Selected candidates are on probation for one year and are made regular once they complete it satisfactorily. The probation may be extended. If you work in a government body, PSU or autonomous body, you must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and vigilance clearance with your online form, or bring the NOC to the Written Test/JoPT. Without these, you will not be called for the test.

चयनित उम्मीदवार पहले एक साल के लिए प्रोबेशन पर रहेंगे, जिसके बाद नियमित किया जाएगा। सरकारी या स्वायत्त संस्थान में काम करने वाले उम्मीदवारों को NOC और विजिलेंस क्लियरेंस जमा करना अनिवार्य है, वरना परीक्षा में शामिल नहीं किया जाएगा।

How to Apply for IIIT Pune Junior Superintendent and Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026

1. Go to the IIIT Pune E-Samarth recruitment portal and create a login ID and password.
2. Fill in every field, upload your documents, and save your progress as you go.
3. Pay the fee online and submit the form. Write down your E-Samarth Form No.; enquiries about lost numbers are not answered.
4. Print the submitted form, the uploaded documents and the fee receipt.
5. Number every page, sign and self-attest them, and arrange them in the Annexure-IV order: Cover Page/Index first, then the fee receipt, then the signed form, then your supporting documents.
6. On the envelope, write “Application for the post of ______” and “E-Samarth Form No. ______”.
7. Send it to The Registrar, Indian Institute of Information Technology Pune, PO – Talegaon, Pune, Maharashtra – 410507, so it arrives by 09 December 2026, 05:30 PM. The Institute is not responsible for postal delays.

Once submitted, the online form cannot be changed. Report portal problems to [email protected]. Your form must also give two references, preferably including your most recent employer if you are working.

Documents (Annexure-IV checklist)

• Cover Page/Index and fee receipt
• Application form, signed on every page, with a recent passport-size photograph
• Class X certificate showing your date of birth, and Class XII certificate with mark-sheet
• UG/PG degree or Ph.D. certificate, as applicable, and mark-sheets for every year or semester
• SC/ST certificate, or an OBC-NCL/EWS certificate in Central Government format valid for the current financial year
• NOC from your current employer, if applicable, and experience certificates
• Photo ID: Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence or Voter ID

Documents cannot be added after the last date. At the Written Test/JoPT, bring all original documents and a signed PDF copy of your online form.

आवेदन प्रक्रिया ऑनलाइन है, जिसमें आपको ई-समर्थ पोर्टल पर लॉगिन बनाकर फॉर्म भरना, दस्तावेज अपलोड करना और फीस जमा करनी होती है। आवेदन के बाद प्रिंट लेकर दस्तावेजों के साथ स्व-प्रमाणित करके, सही क्रम में लगाकर 9 दिसंबर 2026 तक डाक द्वारा भेजना होगा। आवेदन जमा करने के बाद उसमें कोई बदलाव नहीं किया जा सकता। परीक्षा के दिन सभी मूल दस्तावेज और ऑनलाइन फॉर्म की PDF कॉपी साथ ले जाना जरूरी है।
