यह भर्ती 23 नवंबर 2026 को पटना के IGIMS में होगी, जिसमें दो सीनियर रेजिडेंट पदों पर नियुक्ति होगी। उम्मीदवारों को 9 बजे से 10:30 बजे तक दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन के लिए रिपोर्ट करना होगा। पदों की संख्या 2 है, जिसमें एक UR और एक EBC के लिए आरक्षित है। आयु सीमा 45 वर्ष तक है और फीस श्रेणी के अनुसार अलग-अलग है। योग्यता में मुख्य रूप से MD/DNB (PMR) चाहिए, अन्य संबंधित विषय भी मान्य हैं। वेतन 67700 रुपये प्लस अन्य भत्ते दिए जाएंगे।

The walk-in interview for Senior Resident posts at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna is on 23 November 2026 (Monday) at 11:00 AM. It will be held in the H.O.D. Chamber, PMR Dept, IGIMS, Patna-14. Reporting starts at 09:00 AM, and no one reporting after 10:30 AM will be accepted. There are 2 posts of Senior Resident (UR – 01, EBC – 01) on an ad-hoc basis for 89 days in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR). The pay is Rs. 67700/- plus NPA and the usual allowances. The walk-in is open to eligible Indian citizens.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Sheikhpura, Patna-14 describes itself as an autonomous institute of the Government of Bihar, a statutory university created by an Act of the Bihar State Legislature. This recruitment is for its Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR), under the institute’s 89 days Senior Residency Programme.

Posts and Eligibility

There are 2 Senior Resident posts in the Department of PMR: 1 for UR and 1 for EBC. Reservation applies only to candidates with a Bihar State domicile. Applicants from outside Bihar are not entitled to reservation. The notice says the number of vacancies in the department may increase or decrease. It also says that if no eligible female candidate is available (where applicable), a male candidate may be considered for the department.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a medical qualification included in Schedule I & II of the NMC Act. They must also be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.

According to the notice, the prescribed qualification is only the minimum requirement and does not by itself make a candidate eligible for the interview. For the discipline-specific eligibility of the post, see the official notification.

मुख्य योग्यता MD/DNB (PMR) है, लेकिन अगर ये नहीं है तो ऑर्थोपेडिक्स, जनरल मेडिसिन या पीडियाट्रिक्स में MS/DNB भी स्वीकार्य है। साथ ही उम्मीदवार का मेडिकल काउंसिल में पंजीकृत होना जरूरी है। ये न्यूनतम योग्यता है, लेकिन विभाग की विशिष्ट आवश्यकताओं के लिए आधिकारिक नोटिफिकेशन देखें।

Age Limit and Relaxation

The upper age limit is 45 (Forty Five) years as on 23 November 2026. Age relaxation follows the State Government rule:

The reservation points and the upper age relaxation follow the rules of the Govt. of Bihar. EBC candidates must carry their Caste, Non-Creamy-Layer (NCL) and Domicile Certificates.

आयु सीमा 45 वर्ष है, लेकिन SC/ST को 5 वर्ष, EBC/BC और सभी महिलाओं को 3 वर्ष की छूट मिलती है। सरकारी कर्मचारी और विकलांग उम्मीदवारों को भी नियमों के अनुसार छूट मिलेगी। EBC उम्मीदवारों को जाति, NCL और निवास प्रमाणपत्र साथ लाना जरूरी है।

Application Fee

The fee is non-refundable and is paid by Demand Draft in favour of The Director, IGIMS, Patna. Payment by any other mode (cash, cheque, money order, postal order, pay order, banker’s cheque, postal stamps, etc.) will not be accepted, and such applications will be summarily rejected.

आवेदन शुल्क UR/EWS/BC के लिए 1000 रुपये और SC/ST/EBC के लिए 250 रुपये है, जो डिमांड ड्राफ्ट के माध्यम से जमा करना होगा। नकद या अन्य माध्यम स्वीकार नहीं होंगे, अन्यथा आवेदन रद्द कर दिया जाएगा।

How to Apply

1. Download the application form (Proforma for the Post of Senior Resident) from the IGIMS website, www.igims.org.
2. Fill in the form: advertisement number, post and department, name with NMC/State Medical Council registration number, father’s name, date of birth with age on the cut-off date, category, addresses, contact number, educational qualifications starting from MBBS, experience after MD/DNB, publications and presentations, employment status, Demand Draft details and the list of enclosures.
3. Affix a recent photograph and sign the declaration.
4. Get a Demand Draft for the fee for your category, payable to The Director, IGIMS, Patna.
5. Bring the form, the Demand Draft, the originals and one set of self-attested copies to the H.O.D. Chamber, PMR Dept, IGIMS, Patna-14 on 23 November 2026, reporting between 09:00 AM and 10:30 AM.

Fill in your name, age, gender, caste, address, educational qualification and the other fields correctly. Once the form is submitted, it cannot be changed.

आवेदन फॉर्म IGIMS की वेबसाइट से डाउनलोड करना होगा और सभी जानकारी जैसे नाम, उम्र, योग्यता, अनुभव सही- सही भरना होगा। फीस का डिमांड ड्राफ्ट बनवाकर, सभी दस्तावेज़ों के साथ 23 नवंबर 2026 को निर्धारित समय में कार्यालय में जमा करना होगा। फॉर्म जमा करने के बाद उसमें बदलाव नहीं किया जा सकता।

What to Bring

Bring the original and one set of self-attested copies of each of these:

• Recent passport-size photograph: face clearly visible, in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white, background. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but must not cover the face.
• Demand Draft in original (if applicable)
• Aadhar Card
• Date of Birth/SSC/HSSC pass certificate (mentioning date of birth)
• MBBS degree certificates
• Internship completion certificates
• MS/DNB degree/provisional degree certificates
• Attempt certificate of MBBS and PG degree
• UG & PG NMC/State registration certificates
• Category/PwBD certificate (if a seat is claimed in a reserved category)
• Experience certificate, if any
• NOC from present employer (for those working in a Govt./Pvt. organisation)
• Any other relevant documents (research work, publications, etc.)

The application form also asks for the following:

• SC/ST candidates: Domicile and Caste Certificates issued by the Circle Officer of their district/circle.
• EBC (MBC) and BC candidates: Domicile and Caste Certificates issued by the Circle Officer, with exemption of creamy layer.
• EWS candidates: Domicile and EWS Certificates issued by the Circle Officer.
• Reprints of publications and copies of presentation certificates.

Candidates who are not employed must give a written statement that they are neither employed in any organisation nor doing any course anywhere.

What Happens on the Day

Reporting and document verification run from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on 23 November 2026. Reporting after 10:30 AM will not be accepted. The interview begins at 11:00 AM. The Selection Committee of the Institute will select the candidate(s) based on bio-data and the interview. Candidates must produce all original certificates in proof of the details in their application at the time of the interview. The result will be declared on the IGIMS Patna website, on a date to be notified later.

सभी उम्मीदवारों को निर्धारित समय में रिपोर्ट करना होगा, जिसके बाद दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन होगा। इंटरव्यू 11 बजे शुरू होगा। चयन समिति उम्मीदवारों का चयन उनके बायोडाटा और इंटरव्यू के आधार पर करेगी। चयन का परिणाम IGIMS की वेबसाइट पर बाद में घोषित किया जाएगा।

Marking Scheme (100 Marks)

चयन के लिए कुल 100 अंक निर्धारित हैं, जिनमें MBBS, MS/DNB, अतिरिक्त योग्यता, प्रकाशन, प्रस्तुति, पुरस्कार, विशेष प्रशिक्षण, प्रोजेक्ट और विषय ज्ञान शामिल हैं। प्रत्येक घटक के लिए अंक निर्धारित हैं और असफलता पर अंक कटेंगे।

Minimum Qualifying Criteria

उम्मीदवारों को न्यूनतम कट ऑफ प्रतिशत हासिल करना जरूरी है, जो सामान्य वर्ग के लिए 50%, BC/EBC/EWS के लिए 45% और SC/ST के लिए 40% है। इसका मतलब है कि चयन के लिए अलग-अलग वर्गों के लिए अलग न्यूनतम योग्यता अंक तय हैं।

Pay and Terms of Appointment

The pay is as per Institute rule: Rs. 67700/- plus NPA and the usual allowances admissible for a Senior Resident in the Institute. Other allowances on top of pay and NPA are admissible as per rule. Staying on campus is compulsory if accommodation is provided. If accommodation is not provided, HRA is admissible as per rule.

The appointment is on an ad-hoc basis for a period of 89 days, until the full-time (3 years tenure) recruitment of Senior Residents is completed through walk-in interview. The post is non-practising. Private practice of any kind, direct or indirect, including laboratory practice, is strictly prohibited and will lead to termination. Selected candidates must submit a legal bond. Under the bond, a candidate who quits or resigns from the Senior Residency programme midway deposits an amount equal to one month’s emoluments for every year of the programme not completed.

वेतन 67700 रुपये प्लस NPA और अन्य भत्ते होंगे। नियुक्ति अस्थायी है और 89 दिनों के लिए है जब तक स्थायी भर्ती पूरी नहीं हो जाती। आवास मिलने पर कैंपस में रहना अनिवार्य है, अन्यथा HRA मिलेगा। प्राइवेट प्रैक्टिस सख्त मना है और उल्लंघन पर अनुबंध रद्द हो सकता है। मध्य में प्रोग्राम छोड़ने पर आर्थिक दंड भी देना होगा।

Important Instructions

• Candidates employed in a Government/Semi-Government department or with any other employer must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of the interview/document verification. Otherwise they will not be considered for the interview.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview or for joining the post if selected.
• The Director of the Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any or all applications without giving any reason, and to cancel the advertisement.
• Selection by the Selection Committee does not give a right of appointment. The Institute reserves the right of appointment of the candidates recommended by the Selection Committee.

सरकारी या अर्द्ध-सरकारी नौकरी में लगे उम्मीदवारों को NOC लेकर आना होगा। कोई भी रिश्वतखोरी या दबाव बनाने पर निष्कासन होगा। इंटरव्यू या नियुक्ति के लिए कोई TA/DA नहीं मिलेगा। चयन समिति का चयन नियुक्ति का अधिकार नहीं देता, अंतिम नियुक्ति संस्थान के निर्णय पर निर्भर है।
