Posts and Eligibility

Senior Resident पद के लिए MBBS के साथ PG डिग्री या डिप्लोमा ज़रूरी है, या कम से कम दो साल का संबंधित विभाग में अनुभव चाहिए। Specialist पद के लिए PG डिग्री या डिप्लोमा के साथ मेडिकल काउंसिल में पंजीकरण होना आवश्यक है। वेतन पद और अनुबंध के अनुसार अलग-अलग है।

Senior Resident Under Three Year Scheme

• Preference will be given to a PG Degree qualified candidate.
• Age: not to exceed 45 years as on date of interview. Relaxation for reserved category as per rules.
• Tenure: one year on contract, extendable up to 3 years on satisfactory performance and renewal every year.
• Deduction: Rs 1,350 if the Senior Resident possesses only a Diploma; Rs 2,250 if the Senior Resident does not possess a Diploma/Degree.
• Candidates who have already worked as Senior Resident for 3 years under the Central Senior Residency scheme are not eligible.

Senior Resident पद के लिए 45 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वाले उम्मीदवार योग्य नहीं हैं, आरक्षित वर्ग को नियमों के अनुसार राहत मिलेगी। अनुबंध एक वर्ष का होगा जिसे प्रदर्शन के आधार पर तीन वर्ष तक बढ़ाया जा सकता है। डिप्लोमा न होने या केवल डिप्लोमा होने पर वेतन में कटौती होगी। पहले से 3 वर्ष तक इस पद पर काम कर चुके उम्मीदवार आवेदन नहीं कर सकते।

Full Time/Part Time Specialist

• Preference will be given to a PG qualified candidate.
• Experience (both): PG Degree or equivalent in the concerned specialty from a recognized university with 3 years’ experience after acquiring the PG Degree, or minimum 5 years’ experience in the concerned specialty after acquiring a PG Diploma.
• Age (both): not to exceed 69 years as on date of interview; tenure beyond 70 years is not allowed.
• ICU post: may be filled by candidates with MD/Diploma/DNB in Medicine, Anesthesia or Pulmonary Medicine, preferably with experience in critical care. MBBS candidates with a minimum of 02 years of experience in Critical Care may also be considered.
• Part Time Specialist tenure: one year on contract or till the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier. Duty hours: 4 hours per day and 4 days in a week.
• Part Time Specialist remuneration: Rs 60,000 per month plus Rs 15,000 for visiting charge in case of emergency call; additional remuneration of Rs 800 for every additional hour beyond 16 hours/week, with additional hours to be justified by the Medical Superintendent.
• Full Time Specialist tenure: initially one year on contract, extendable up to 3 years on satisfactory performance and yearly renewal, or till the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier. Duty hours: 9.00 A.M to 4.00 P.M Monday to Friday and 9.00 A.M to 1.00 P.M on Saturday.
• Full Time Specialist remuneration: fixed Rs 1,27,141 per month including transport allowance, with DA on transport allowance as per rules.

Specialist पद के लिए PG डिग्री के बाद 3 साल या PG डिप्लोमा के बाद 5 साल का अनुभव आवश्यक है। उम्र 69 वर्ष से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए। ICU पद के लिए संबंधित अनुभव के साथ Medicine, Anesthesia या Pulmonary Medicine में योग्यता जरूरी है। अनुबंध एक वर्ष का है, जिसे प्रदर्शन के आधार पर बढ़ाया जा सकता है। पार्ट टाइम विशेषज्ञों को समय और भुगतान के अनुसार सेवा देनी होगी।

Senior Resident Under Three Year Scheme – 10 posts

Full Time/Part Time Specialist – 4 posts

Senior Resident पदों में विभागवार आरक्षण के अनुसार 10 पद हैं, जिसमें सामान्य, ओबीसी और एसटी श्रेणियाँ शामिल हैं। विशेषज्ञ पदों में 4 पद हैं, जिनमें से एक एसटी के लिए आरक्षित है। PwD कैटेगरी के लिए भी एक पद आरक्षित है, लेकिन यदि कोई योग्य उम्मीदवार नहीं मिलता तो इसे अन्य उम्मीदवार को दिया जा सकता है।

The asterisk (*) in the notice means the vacancy includes posts unfilled in the previous walk-in interview. One Senior Resident post is horizontally reserved for the PwD category in an identified post. If no person with benchmark disability is available, the employer may fill the vacancy with another person, as per the DoPT Office Memorandum dated 15.01.2018. Only persons with not less than 40% disability are eligible for PwBD benefits, and a valid Disability Certificate from a Medical Board constituted by the Central or State Government is required; certificates from a medical practitioner, hospital or other institution are not accepted. For part time engagement, reservation policies are not applicable.

Job Description

The notice lists duties only for Specialists:

• Part Time Specialist: available on call 24×7 if drawing emergency call charges.
• The Specialist is responsible for all cases undergoing treatment under his supervision in his discipline.

What to Bring

Documents are required in original with one self-attested photocopy:

• Duly filled application form in the prescribed format (Annexure I).
• Age proof (Class 10th certificate/Birth certificate).
• MBBS certificate and PG Degree/Diploma/DNB certificate.
• Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC and I & A certificate for EWS candidates. OBC candidates must submit the latest OBC certificate as per Central Govt. proforma, not more than one year old from the date of interview. No age relaxation/reservation applies to SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.
• MCI/SMC registration certificate with MD/MS/DNB qualification.
• Two recent passport size photographs.
• Experience certificate, if applicable.
• A candidate who is in service must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.

The Annexure I form asks for post applied, name, gender, father’s/husband’s name, date of birth, age on the date of interview, category, Aadhar number, addresses, mobile number, email, whether ESIC/Govt employee, medical council registration details, present post and institution, tentative date of joining, details of earlier Senior Resident service, educational qualification and experience, with a declaration and signature.

What Happens on the Day

All candidates report to the office of the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital, Peenya, Bengaluru, within the registration time of 09:15 A.M to 10:30 A.M. The selection is by walk-in interview, and the decision of the Selection Board is final. Selection is subject to medical fitness; for Senior Residents it is also subject to verification of character and antecedents. An offer of appointment will be issued as per requirement. Selected candidates must join immediately or within 15 days from receipt of the offer or selection order.

इंटरव्यू के दिन उम्मीदवार निर्धारित समय पर मेडिकल सुपरिंटेंडेंट के कार्यालय में पहुंचें। चयन वॉक-इन इंटरव्यू के आधार पर होगा और अंतिम निर्णय चयन बोर्ड का होगा। चयन के बाद स्वास्थ्य और चरित्र प्रमाणित करना आवश्यक है। चयनित उम्मीदवारों को तुरंत या 15 दिनों के अंदर जॉइन करना होगा।

Important Instructions

• The engagement is purely on contract; selected candidates have no claim for regularization, and the appointment gives no right or preference for regular appointment.
• Either side may end the contract by giving one month’s prior notice without assigning any reason. A Senior Resident who does not give one month’s notice before resigning pays one month’s salary or the shortfall.
• Senior Resident: a DD/Bankers Cheque of Rs 95,000 drawn in favour of ‘ESIC A/c No 1’ payable at Bengaluru is to be furnished as security deposit. If the candidate resigns or terminates within one year of the contract commencing, Rs 30,000 is appropriated towards administrative cost.
• Full Time/Part Time Specialist: a DD/Bankers Cheque of Rs 30,000 drawn in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 1” payable at Bangalore is to be furnished as security deposit.
• Selected Specialists must hold a professional indemnity policy; the minimum sum assured per annum is Rs 30 lakhs for Anesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons etc., Rs 20 lakhs for General Surgeons, Gynecologists, Obstetricians etc., and Rs 10 lakhs for Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists etc. A copy of the insurance and premium receipt must be submitted within 7 days of engagement.
• Part Time Specialists are not entitled to any kind of leave or benefits. Selected Senior Residents have no claim to PF, Pension, Gratuity, medical allowance, seniority, promotion or leave, and private practice is not allowed as they receive non-practicing allowance.
• Hostel accommodation, quarters and uniform are not provided. No TA/DA is admissible for the walk-in interview or for joining.
• Candidates must be registered with Karnataka Medical Council or MCI before joining. Selected candidates must open an SB Account in the State Bank of India if they do not hold one.
• Canvassing in any form is liable for disqualification. ESIC may cancel the recruitment at any stage, and the Administration may offer Full Time engagement; candidates applying for Full Time will be preferred.
• OBC candidates claiming reservation or age relaxation must submit the community certificate in Annexure “A” as prescribed by DoPT OM No.36036/2/2013-Estt (Res) dated 30.05.2014; otherwise the benefit is not given and the candidate is treated as General Category.
