ECR GDCE Vacancy 2026

The notification includes 1,465 vacancies under 24 post categories. The post-wise vacancy distribution is provided below.

यह भर्ती 24 विभिन्न पदों के लिए है, जिनमें असिस्टेंट लोको पायलट के लिए सबसे अधिक 910 पद हैं। अन्य तकनीशियन, जूनियर इंजीनियर, स्टेशन मास्टर, और क्लर्क जैसे पद भी शामिल हैं। हर पद का वेतन स्तर अलग है, जो 7वें वेतन आयोग के अनुसार निर्धारित है।

Who Can Apply?

• The applicant must be a regular employee of East Central Railway or Rail Wheel Plant, Bela.
• There is no minimum service requirement.
• Employees who have resigned or transferred from East Central Railway are not eligible.
• RPF and RPSF personnel cannot apply under this GDCE notification.
• Employees cannot apply for the same post on which they are presently working.
• The applicant must possess the required qualification by 15 October 2026.
• The qualification must be recorded in the employee’s service register.

केवल पूर्व मध्य रेलवे या रेल व्हील प्लांट, बेला के नियमित कर्मचारी आवेदन कर सकते हैं, और उनकी योग्यता 15 अक्टूबर 2026 तक पूरी होनी चाहिए। जो कर्मचारी पहले से उसी पद पर कार्यरत हैं या रेलवे छोड़ चुके हैं, वे आवेदन नहीं कर सकते। आरपीएफ/आरपीएसएफ कर्मी भी आवेदन के लिए पात्र नहीं हैं।

Educational Qualification

The 50% marks requirement for Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk will not apply to SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, ex-servicemen and candidates possessing a qualification higher than Class 12.

Candidates should check the post-wise trade, engineering discipline and medical-standard requirements in Annexure A of the official notification.

ECR GDCE Age Limit

The age limit will be calculated as of 1 January 2027.

Reserved-category candidates applying against unreserved vacancies will not receive category-based age relaxation.

उम्र सीमा 1 जनवरी 2027 के आधार पर निर्धारित है, जिसमें सामान्य वर्ग के लिए अधिकतम 42 वर्ष, ओबीसी के लिए 45 वर्ष और एससी/एसटी के लिए 47 वर्ष तक आवेदन कर सकते हैं। आरक्षित वर्ग के उम्मीदवार यदि सामान्य श्रेणी की वैकेंसी पर आवेदन करते हैं तो आयु छूट नहीं मिलेगी।

Pay Level

पदों के अनुसार वेतन स्तर 7वें वेतन आयोग के तहत निर्धारित हैं, जिसमें ALP और तकनीशियन स्तर 2 पर, क्लर्क स्तर 3 पर, माल ट्रेन प्रबंधक और वरिष्ठ क्लर्क स्तर 5 पर, जबकि जूनियर इंजीनियर और स्टेशन मास्टर जैसे उच्च पद स्तर 6 पर होंगे।

Selection Process

The exact selection stages depend on the post selected by the candidate.

• Single-stage Computer Based Test
• Computer Based Aptitude Test, where applicable
• Computer Based Typing Skill Test, where applicable
• Document verification
• Medical examination

There will be a negative marking of one-third mark for each incorrect answer in the CBT. Marks may be normalized when the examination is conducted in multiple shifts.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

For the aptitude test, candidates must obtain a minimum T-score of 42 in each test battery. No category-based relaxation is allowed in this requirement.

सामान्य वर्ग के लिए न्यूनतम 40% अंक आवश्यक हैं, जबकि ओबीसी और एससी के लिए 30% और एसटी के लिए 25% अंक की पात्रता है। एप्रोच टेस्ट में कोई वर्ग आधारित छूट नहीं मिलेगी और हर टेस्ट में कम से कम T-स्कोर 42 होना जरूरी है।

Senior Clerk Typing Test

Candidates appearing for the Senior Clerk post must achieve either of the following typing speeds on a computer:

• 30 words per minute in English; or
• 25 words per minute in Hindi.

The typing test is qualifying in nature. Its marks will not be added while preparing the merit list.

वरिष्ठ क्लर्क पद के लिए टाइपिंग टेस्ट अनिवार्य है, जिसमें अंग्रेजी में 30 शब्द प्रति मिनट या हिंदी में 25 शब्द प्रति मिनट की गति जरूरी है। यह टेस्ट केवल क्वालिफाइंग है और मेरिट सूची में इसके अंक नहीं जोड़े जाएंगे।

Application Fee

The official GDCE notification does not specify an application fee.

इस भर्ती के लिए कोई आवेदन शुल्क नहीं है, इसलिए उम्मीदवार बिना शुल्क के ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

How to Apply for ECR GDCE Recruitment 2026

1. Visit the East Central Railway official website.
2. Open the Hajipur Headquarters section.
3. Select RRC Patna and open the GDCE section.
4. Click the application link for notification number RRC/ECR/HRD/Rectt/GDCE/2026.
5. Select the New Registration option.
6. Enter the 11-digit employee ID and date of birth.
7. Provide the required personal, service, educational and contact details.
8. Log in using the registration number and password received through email or SMS.
9. Upload the required photograph, signature and supporting certificates.
10. Select eligible posts and enter the post preferences carefully.
11. Review and submit the online application.
12. Save the submitted application as a PDF or take a printout for future reference.

Only one online application should be submitted. Candidates do not need to send an application printout or copies of certificates to RRC/ECR by post.

Important Instructions

• Candidates must confirm their post-wise educational and medical eligibility before applying.
• The candidate’s name, father’s name and date of birth must match the service records and educational certificates.
• Post preferences cannot be changed after final submission.
• Incomplete or incorrectly completed applications may be rejected.
• Applications containing invalid photographs or signatures may be rejected.
• No request to change the examination centre, date or shift will be accepted.
• The notified vacancies are provisional and may increase, decrease or become nil.
