Who Can Apply

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Med.) Biology – preferred

• Candidates with prior experience working in BSL-3 laboratories and handling BSL-2 and BSL-3 pathogens will be preferred.
• Those with experience in microbiology, molecular biology or related disciplines will also be preferred, along with expertise in drug efficacy and cytotoxicity assessment using ex vivo and in vivo models, and familiarity with enzymatic assays, gene expression profiling and target validation techniques, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications.
• Candidates with PhD in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Zoology from a recognized university or equivalent would be preferred.

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Med.) Chemistry – preferred

• Candidates with previous experience in multistep organic synthesis, structural optimization, molecular modelling, pharmacokinetic profiling, AI modelling and scientific writing, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, will be preferred.
• Candidates with PhD in Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent would be preferred.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 35 years for both posts. Age is reckoned as on the last date of application. Relaxation in age limit is given as per Govt. of India Rules; the notice prints no category-wise relaxation.

All applicants must fulfil the essential qualification and other conditions as on the date of interview. Before applying, they should ensure they hold at least the essential qualifications as on the last date of application. बायोलॉजी पद के लिए पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट डिग्री आवश्यक है, कैमिस्ट्री के लिए M.Sc. अनिवार्य है। PhD धारक उम्मीदवारों को वरीयता मिलेगी। आयु सीमा 35 वर्ष है और सरकारी नियमों के अनुसार छूट मिल सकती है। आवेदन करने से पहले योग्यता पूरी करनी जरूरी है।

Pay and Tenure

Both posts carry monthly emoluments of ₹56,000/- plus HRA. HRA is payable only if institutional accommodation is not availed or provided.

• The engagement is initially for one year or until the project duration, whichever is earlier. It may be extended or curtailed depending on the project duration, requirements and the performance or conduct of the incumbent.
• The current duration of the project is up to 21.05.2028.
• The tenure is co-terminus with the project. The total tenure cannot exceed five years, including engagement in all CSIR labs.
• Performance is reviewed periodically, and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without any notice or reason.
• The posts are purely temporary and on behalf of the sponsor. They give no right to a claim, implicit or explicit, for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.

सैलरी ₹56,000 प्रति माह है, जिस पर HRA तब मिलेगा जब आवास संस्थान से नहीं लिया जाएगा। नियुक्ति प्रोजेक्ट की अवधि तक या एक साल तक होगी, जो भी पहले हो। यह अस्थायी पद हैं और इनके आधार पर स्थायी भर्ती का दावा नहीं किया जा सकता।

Selection and Interview

Selection is on the basis of an interview. If a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may revisit the screening criteria, if required.

• The interview is online, through MS Teams.
• Candidates may interact with the Selection Committee in English or Hindi.
• Upon selection or empanelment, original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste and age relaxation certificate, are verified. If any discrepancy is found, the selection or empanelment stands cancelled.
