The Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Purulia functions under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, from the Zilla Swasthya Bhawan Campus, Ranchi Road, Purulia. Who Can Apply

All applicants must be permanent residents of West Bengal and must possess adequate knowledge of the local language. The notice states that the prescribed conditions are non-relaxable. Each post’s own conditions are below.

Multipurpose Worker (MPW) Ayurvidya, MPW Mobile Medical Unit (For Tribal Dominated Population) and MPW Lymphatic Filariasis

• Essential: Graduate from any recognized university and have completed at least 1 year Diploma Course in Computer (including MS Office – MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel) from a Govt. registered Institution.
• Desirable: Exposure in social sector schemes/Govt. Missions at National, State and District level.
• Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on date 01.04.2026.

Ayush Doctor – Mobile Medical Unit (For Tribal Dominated Population) and Ayush Doctor – Lymphatic Filariasis

• Essential: Graduate degree in Homeopathy (BHMS) from a recognized university.
• Desirable: Working experience in Public Health Programme of Government / PSUs or reputed private organization.
• Desirable: Exposure in social sector schemes/Govt. Missions at National, State and District level; computer knowledge including MS Office – MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel.
• Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 50 years as on date 01.04.2026.

Lower Division Clerk (LDC) AYUSH

• Essential criteria: Retired State Govt. Employees; Computer Literate Person.
• Desirable: Experience of working in the Health & FW Dept will be given preference (experience of working at clerical posts like LDC/accounts clerk etc.).
• Age: Maximum age limit 62 years as on date 01.04.2026.

Accountant (AYUSH)

• Essential: Retired State Government Employees with experiences in the related field.
• Class X Pass.
• Computer Knowledge.
• Must be fit physically and mentally.
• Age: Maximum age limit 62 years as on date 01.04.2026.

Data Entry Operator (AYUSH)

• Essential: Graduation in Computer Application/IT/Business Administration/B.Tech (C.S) or (I.T)/BCA/BBA/B.Sc-IT/Graduation with one year Diploma/Certificate course in Computer Application from a Government registered institute or university.
• Working knowledge of computer with operating knowledge of MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel, MS Access and Internet.
• Essential experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in a Government or any other reputed organization.
• Desirable: Typing speed of English – 30 WPM and Bengali – 25 WPM; exposure in social sector schemes at National, State and District level.
• Residence: Candidates shall be the permanent resident of the district concerned or within the same Revenue Division.
• Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on date 01.04.2026.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation for reserved categories shall be admissible as per the prevailing rules/orders of the Government of West Bengal, and only for candidates of the categories for which such relaxation is permissible under the prevailing Government rules.

Pay and Tenure

The pay for every post is a consolidated remuneration per month: Rs. 40,000/- for each Ayush Doctor, 25,000/- for the Data Entry Operator, Rs. 15,000/- for each Multipurpose Worker (MPW), Rs.12,000/- for the Accountant and Rs.10,000/- for the Lower Division Clerk. The LDC and Accountant posts, open only to retired State Government employees, carry the same fixed consolidated amount given in the table. The engagement is purely contractual and temporary in nature. Selected candidates may be posted at any health facility/institution/unit under the administrative control of the District AYUSH Samity/District Health & Family Welfare Samiti, as decided by the competent authority, and no claim for posting at a particular place shall be entertained.

How to Apply for CMOH Purulia Recruitment 2026

1. Go to www.wbhealth.gov.in and open Quick links → Career, Education & Recruitment → Online Recruitment.
2. Complete online registration by 18.11.2026; online applications are accepted from 05.11.2026 (10:00 hrs) to 19.11.2026.
3. Submit only one online application for a particular post. A candidate may apply for more than one post if eligible for each, but more than one application for the same post cancels all applications for that post.
4. Check every entry before final submission: no modification or correction is allowed after the application is finally submitted.
5. Do not send any physical documents to the office.
6. Appear in person for document verification with the online-generated application form signed by you, the originals and self-attested copies of the documents listed below.

Documents named in the notice

• Online-generated application form, duly signed, with one recent passport-size photograph pasted on it.
• Madhyamik (or equivalent) Admit Card/Certificate as proof of age.
• All relevant mark sheets and pass certificates; where DGPA/CGPA or Grade Point is awarded, the conversion formula.
• Voter ID/Aadhaar Card/any other valid address proof.
• All relevant experience certificates, with salary slips for the last three months against each claimed period of experience.
• Valid EWS certificate issued by the competent authority, and caste certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of West Bengal, wherever applicable.
• LDC and Accountant: documents related to retirement [PPO] of State Govt. employees (as per Proforma enclosed – Annexure-A), experience certificate from the last employer, age proof, identity proof (Voter ID card/Aadhar card/Driving license/Passport/Pan card), caste certificate and two passport size recent colour photographs, with 2 sets of self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents.

The experience certificate must clearly mention the duration of experience, post held, nature of work, and the employer’s signature with date; otherwise it will be treated as invalid. The District Level Selection Committee (DLSC) may ask for other documents, with prior notice.

Selection and Interview

The selection is conducted by the District Level Selection Committee, Purulia. The marking for each post is printed in the notice as follows.

Data Entry Operator (AYUSH) marking:

• Class X – 10 marks (proportionate marking)
• Class XII – 10 marks (proportionate marking)
• Bachelor degree – 10 marks (proportionate marking)
• Post Graduation – 10 marks
• Experience – 10 marks: 2 marks for the essential experience plus 2 marks for each completed year of experience over and above the essential experience
• Computer Test – 50 marks
• Interview – 10 marks

Being named in the list of candidates called for the Computer Test/Interview/Document Verification does not confer any right to appointment; candidature remains provisional until all original documents are verified and all eligibility conditions are met. No TA/DA is admissible for the Computer Test, Written Test, Interview, Document Verification or any other stage.
