BRIC-Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology is a research centre at Thycaud Post, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This position is in the laboratory of Dr. Karthika Rajeeve, Scientist E I, and is funded by a DBT project titled “Human Brain Organoids in space as a transformative model to understand Neurodegeneration”.

BRIC-RGCB Research Associate-I Eligibility 2026

Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply.

Age limit: 40 years as on 16 November 2026. Age relaxation is given as per Govt. of India norms.

Essential qualification: Ph.D. in Biotechnology.

Desirable (preferred, not mandatory):

• Research experience in human cell culture, molecular and cellular biology, disease-relevant in vitro models, 3D culture and organoid biology
• Exposure to stem cell/iPSC-based models, bioengineering approaches and advanced imaging
• Proficiency in experimental design, quantitative data analysis, scientific writing and manuscript preparation
• Interdisciplinary research experience
• At least one first-author peer-reviewed publication

Selection Process

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for an online selection interview. The final selection will be based on qualifications and performance in that interview.

Service Conditions

• The appointment is initially for two years or until the project ends, whichever is earlier.
