The National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, is filling five contractual posts: Project Research Scientist-II (Medical), Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical), Project Technical Officer/Project Technical Support-III, Project Nurse-I and Project Technical Support-II. Pay ranges from ₹18,000/- to ₹80,000/- plus HRA at the prevailing ICMR rates.

About the Centre and the Project

The National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC) is a centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi-110029, located at C.G.O. Complex-II, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Ghaziabad (U.P.). The posts are under the project “Assessing the acceptability, feasibility, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of long-acting depot buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid dependence in low- and middle-income countries: A multicentre International Study” (Project code N-2793).

The project is supported by PATH, with overall global funding by Unitaid (a Global Drug Trial), and is implemented by NDDTC, AIIMS, New Delhi.

Posts and Eligibility

Each of the five posts has one vacancy. The pay of every post is the amount below plus HRA, which “will be admissible as per the prevailing ICMR rates”. The duration for every post is 1 (One) year, extendable as per the requirements of the project.

Project Research Scientist-II (Medical)

Essential: MD in Psychiatry. Desirable:

• Research and clinical experience among substance using populations
• Excellent writing and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience of working at AIIMS

Candidates with relevant post-qualification work experience would be preferred.

Essential: Post-graduate Degree in Psychology / Social Work / Sociology or similar disciplines. Desirable: Ph.D./M.Phil in the above-mentioned disciplines. Candidates with relevant post-qualification work experience would be preferred.

What to Bring

The notice asks candidates to bring:

Important Instructions

• The appointment will be contractual and temporary; it may be extended depending on project requirements and the incumbent’s performance.
