Agnipath Scheme भारत सरकार की Armed Forces recruitment scheme है, जिसके तहत युवाओं को Indian Army, Indian Navy और Indian Air Force में Agniveer के रूप में भर्ती किया जाता है। Agniveers को चार वर्ष की अवधि के लिए Armed Forces में service करने का अवसर मिलता है।

What is Agnipath Scheme?

Agnipath एक short-term military recruitment scheme है। इसके तहत selected candidates को Agniveer कहा जाता है और वे संबंधित Armed Force में चार वर्ष की अवधि के लिए service करते हैं।

चार साल की service में military training और actual service दोनों शामिल होते हैं। इस दौरान Agniveers को military discipline, physical fitness, technical skills और अन्य professional training दी जाती है।

चार वर्ष पूरे होने के बाद, organisational requirement और Armed Forces की policy के अनुसार प्रत्येक batch के अधिकतम 25% Agniveers को regular cadre में enrolment का अवसर दिया जा सकता है। यह automatic permanent job नहीं है; selection performance और अन्य निर्धारित criteria के आधार पर होता है।

Agniveer Eligibility 2026

Agnipath scheme का broad age framework 17.5 से 21 वर्ष है। हालांकि, किसी particular recruitment notification में cut-off date, educational qualification, trade और age calculation अलग से निर्धारित की जाती है। इसलिए candidates को हमेशा संबंधित recruitment notification को final मानना चाहिए।

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 17.5 Years
Maximum Age: 21 Years

2022 की पहली recruitment cycle में सरकार ने एक-time relaxation देते हुए upper age limit को 23 years किया था। यह एक विशेष 2022 recruitment relaxation था, सामान्य age limit नहीं।

Educational Qualification

Educational qualification service, category और trade के अनुसार अलग-अलग होती है।

उदाहरण के तौर पर Army recruitment में अलग categories के लिए 8th/10th/12th और technical qualifications निर्धारित हो सकती हैं।

Agniveer Salary 2026

Agniveer Seva Nidhi Package

चार वर्ष की service पूरी करने के बाद Agniveer को Seva Nidhi package दिया जाता है।

Original scheme structure के अनुसार:

Approximate Seva Nidhi: ₹11.71 lakh

इसमें Agniveer का contribution और Government का matching contribution शामिल होता है। Government ने इसे tax-free financial package के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया था।

यह amount Agniveer को service पूरी होने के बाद civilian career, higher education, entrepreneurship या अन्य future needs में मदद कर सकता है।

Life Insurance Benefit

Agniveers को service period के दौरान ₹48 lakh का life insurance cover उपलब्ध कराया जाता है।

इस insurance के लिए Agniveer से अलग contribution नहीं लिया जाता।

Death या disability से संबंधित compensation और benefits applicable rules और circumstances के अनुसार निर्धारित किए जाते हैं।

4 Years के बाद क्या होगा?

यह Agnipath Scheme का सबसे important point है।

चार साल की service पूरी होने के बाद सभी Agniveers automatically permanent नहीं होते।

Armed Forces की organisational requirement, performance और निर्धारित selection criteria के आधार पर up to 25% of each batch को regular cadre में enrol किया जा सकता है।

जो candidates regular cadre में selected होते हैं, वे आगे existing service conditions के अनुसार longer-term military service कर सकते हैं।

बाकी Agniveers service period पूरा करके civilian life में वापस आते हैं और उन्हें Seva Nidhi तथा अन्य applicable support मिलता है।

Agniveers के लिए Post-Service Employment

सरकार ने चार वर्ष की service के बाद Agniveers के civilian employment को support करने के लिए विभिन्न measures किए हैं।

CAPFs और Assam Rifles

Former Agniveers के लिए Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) और Assam Rifles में 10% reservation का provision किया गया है, साथ में applicable age relaxation भी है।

Indian Railways

2026 में Indian Railways और Indian Army ने Agniveers और ex-servicemen के employment opportunities को मजबूत करने के लिए Framework of Cooperation शुरू किया।

सरकारी information के अनुसार existing policy के तहत:

• Level-1 Railway Posts: 10% reservation for ex-Agniveers
• Level-2 and above Posts: 5% reservation for ex-Agniveers

का provision बताया गया है।

2026 में Agnipath recruitment जारी है।

Government की June 2026 publication के अनुसार, early 2025 तक लगभग 1.5 lakh Agniveers scheme के तहत enrolled हो चुके थे। इसी update में post-service employment के लिए CAPFs और Assam Rifles में 10% reservation तथा Indian Railways में ex-Agniveers के लिए reservation provisions की जानकारी दी गई है।

2026–27 के लिए Indian Army ने Agnipath और Regular Cadre recruitment के लिए online CEE registration भी आयोजित किया था। Registration 13 February 2026 से 1 April 2026 तक खुला था।
