Berhampur University will hold a walk-in interview on 19 November 2026 at 10.30 Hrs in the Department of Environmental Science, Berhampur University, Berhampur – 760007 (Odisha). It is for one Research Associate, one Project Associate and one Field Investigator in the research project “Comprehensive Assessment on the Regional Stochasticity and Blackbuck Population Distribution in Odisha”. Pay is Rs. 47,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 per month respectively, consolidated.

Research Associate

• Experience in landscape ecology / habitat ecology / disease ecology / behavioural ecology domain along-with RS-GIS and computational tools is essential.

Project Associate

• Candidates having a valid NET / GATE score/certificate will be an added advantage.
• Experience in extensive field works, RS-GIS and computational tools is desirable.
• The candidate is required to work in landscape ecology / habitat ecology / disease ecology / behavioral ecology domain leading to a PhD degree.

प्रोजेक्ट एसोसिएट के लिए NET/GATE प्रमाणपत्र होना लाभकारी है, साथ ही क्षेत्रीय कार्य, RS-GIS और कम्प्यूटेशनल टूल्स का अनुभव वांछनीय है। यह पद PhD की ओर बढ़ने वाला है।

Field Investigator

• Candidates are required to conduct extensive fieldwork in rural/remote/forested areas.
• Candidates having a valid NET / GATE score/certificate will be an added advantage.
• S/he will be encouraged to work in landscape ecology / habitat ecology / disease ecology / behavioral ecology domain leading to a PhD degree.

How to Attend the Walk-in Interview

Candidates report on the scheduled date and time with the duly filled-in application form as per the enclosed format. The form is on pages 2 and 3 of the notice. It asks for the project name, name, date of birth, correspondence and permanent address, mobile number, email ID, academic qualifications, NET/GATE or other examinations, experience, dissertation titles, publications, conferences attended, personal information and any other relevant information. A passport size photograph is affixed on it, and it ends with a signed declaration.

Important Instructions

• The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
• No travel or any other allowances are admissible for attending the interview.
• The selected candidate needs a valid two/four-wheeler driving license for conducting field surveys.
• The services of the selected candidate will be governed by the rules/regulations of Berhampur University. The candidate will not be an employee of the University and shall have no claim for any benefit whatsoever on that account.
• Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
