NEET SS 2026: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has opened online registration for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Super Specialty (NEET-SS) 2026. Eligible doctors seeking admission to DM, MCh and DrNB Super Specialty courses for the 2026-27 academic session can submit their applications through the official website, natboard.edu.in.

The application process began on 29 October 2026 and will close on 18 November 2026 at 11:55 PM. NBEMS has scheduled the computer-based entrance examination for 11 and 12 December 2026 at examination centres across India.

आवेदन 29 अक्टूबर 2026 से शुरू होकर 18 नवंबर 2026 रात 11:55 बजे तक स्वीकार किए जाएंगे, जबकि परीक्षा 11 और 12 दिसंबर 2026 को कंप्यूटर आधारित होगी।

The official information bulletin also confirms an examination fee of Rs. 3,500 per question-paper group, an application correction window in November and the release of admit cards on 7 December 2026.

NEET SS 2026 Registration Closes on November 18

Medical graduates planning to pursue super-specialty courses have until 18 November 2026 to complete their NEET SS 2026 registration. According to the official NBEMS notification issued on 29 October, the online application window will remain available until 11:55 PM on the closing date.

Candidates must complete the required details, upload documents and successfully pay the examination fee within the registration period. Applications submitted through offline methods will not be accepted.

NBEMS has also advised applicants not to leave registration until the final hours, as payment failures, heavy website traffic or internet connectivity problems could prevent successful submission.

NEET SS 2026 Important Dates

Along with the registration deadline, NBEMS has announced the application correction schedule, admit card date and examination dates. Candidates should keep track of the following events.

Important: The regular edit window does not permit changes to the candidate’s name, nationality, email, Aadhaar, mobile number or test city. Applicants should verify these details carefully before submitting their forms.

आवेदन जमा करने के बाद 20 से 23 नवंबर के बीच आवेदन में सामान्य सुधार कर सकते हैं, लेकिन नाम, राष्ट्रीयता, ईमेल, आधार, मोबाइल नंबर या परीक्षा शहर नहीं बदला जा सकता। इसलिए इन जानकारियों को ध्यान से भरना जरूरी है।

Who Can Apply for NEET SS 2026?

NEET SS 2026 is intended for candidates seeking admission to eligible super-specialty medical courses. The official information bulletin specifies the following eligibility requirements:

• Candidates must possess a recognized MD, MS or DNB Broad Specialty postgraduate medical qualification, or an equivalent recognized qualification, in an eligible feeder specialty.
• Candidates expecting to complete the required qualification by 31 January 2027 may also apply, subject to the prescribed conditions.
• The postgraduate qualification must match the eligible feeder specialty requirements for the relevant super-specialty course.
• Registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council is required for applicable candidates.
• Foreign nationals, including OCI cardholders, are subject to the separate eligibility and registration provisions specified in the bulletin.

Candidates whose eligible postgraduate qualification or qualifying result becomes available after 31 January 2027 will not meet the specified qualification cut-off requirement.

What candidates should check: Not every MD, MS or DNB qualification provides eligibility for every super-specialty course. Candidates should refer to the feeder specialty requirements in the official information bulletin before selecting their question-paper groups.

NEET SS 2026 में आवेदन करने के लिए उम्मीदवार के पास मान्यता प्राप्त MD, MS या DNB पोस्टग्रेजुएट डिग्री होनी चाहिए, जो संबंधित सुपर-स्पेशलिटी कोर्स के लिए उपयुक्त फीडर स्पेशलिटी हो। जो उम्मीदवार 31 जनवरी 2027 तक अपनी डिग्री पूरी कर लेंगे, वे भी आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

NEET SS 2026 Application Fee

NBEMS has fixed the examination fee at Rs. 3,500 per question-paper group. The total amount depends on the number of eligible groups selected by the candidate.

The above amounts exclude applicable payment gateway charges. According to the information bulletin, the examination fee is exempt from GST under the cited government circular.

Payment can be made through the available online payment gateway using UPI, debit card, credit card or other supported payment methods.

Note: The examination fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred or carried forward to another examination.

NEET SS 2026 Exam Pattern

The NEET SS 2026 examination will be conducted as a computer-based test. Each question paper contains 150 multiple-choice questions and has a total duration of 150 minutes.

A significant feature of the examination is its three-section structure. Candidates will receive 50 minutes for each section and cannot return to a completed section after its allotted time expires.

Candidates cannot move to the next section before the allotted time for the current section ends. Once a section is completed, its questions and responses cannot be reviewed or modified.

This makes time management particularly important during the examination. Candidates should plan how to use the available 50 minutes within each section rather than relying on a final review of the entire question paper.

परीक्षा तीन सेक्शन में होगी, हर सेक्शन के लिए 50 मिनट मिलेंगे और एक बार पूरा सेक्शन खत्म हो जाने पर वापस उसे देखना या बदलना संभव नहीं होगा। इसलिए हर सेक्शन के लिए समय का सही प्रबंधन जरूरी है।

How to Apply Online for NEET SS 2026

Eligible candidates can complete the online application process through the official NBEMS website.

1. Visit the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.
2. Open the NEET SS 2026 examination section.
3. Read the official Information Bulletin and application instructions.
4. Access the online application form and complete the registration process.
5. Enter the required personal, educational and identification details.
6. Select the eligible question-paper group or groups and examination city, as applicable.
7. Upload the prescribed photograph, signature, thumb impression and other required documents.
8. Review the application details and pay the examination fee through the available payment gateway.
9. Confirm successful submission and save a copy of the completed application form for future reference.

Applicants should carefully check their Aadhaar and other non-editable information before final submission. They must also ensure that uploaded images meet the guidelines prescribed by NBEMS.

NEET SS 2026 Admit Card and Result

NBEMS is scheduled to inform candidates about their allotted examination city on 30 November 2026. Admit cards are scheduled for release on 7 December 2026 through the official website.

The NEET SS 2026 examination will take place on 11 and 12 December 2026, while the result is expected to be declared by 12 January 2027, according to the official bulletin.

Candidates placed at or above the 50th percentile in their respective question-paper group will be declared qualified under the published qualifying criteria.

Qualifying in NEET SS does not automatically guarantee admission. Seat allocation and admission will depend on the applicable counselling process, course eligibility and other prescribed requirements.
