Pay and Terms of Engagement

The monthly emolument (honorarium) for Assistant Professor (OCFD) is Rs. 57,700/- (Rs. Fifty Seven Thousand Seven Hundred only) per month for those having NET or Ph.D., as per UGC/CoA guidelines and other regulatory bodies like AICTE, at the entry level of Assistant Professor. The notice adds in brackets: “Candidates having M.Tech or equivalent in I.C.T./Engineering/PG Qualification in the relevant discipline/subject in accordance with the UGC regulations/rules of Concerned Regulatory Bodies”.

The honorarium finalized by the Selection Committee at the interview is final and stands for the entire duration of the engagement. A change in qualification after the interview will not change the honorarium. Selection does not give a right to the allowances and benefits admissible to regular faculty.

The terms of engagement printed in the notice are:

• The engagement is for Academic Session 2026-27 only, for a maximum of 11 months or as per the requirement indicated.

• Working hours and days are the same as for regular employees of GBU. No extra benefit is allowed for working beyond office hours.
• Casual leave is 05 (five) days per semester.
• Academic leave is 05 (five) days at most for the entire engagement in Academic Session 2026-27, for academic meets and training programmes.
• Selected candidates may be provided accommodation on the University campus as per availability, on the University’s terms and conditions.
• Selected candidates may bring any type of project from a Govt./Corporate funding agency, on the conditions laid down by the University.
• Selected candidates will not be allowed to accept or hold any other full-time or part-time assignment, online or offline, during the engagement.

GBU Assistant Professor (OCFD) Job Description

• Perform all duties assigned by the University.
• Complete the entire examination process for all types of examination (Regular/Back paper/Special paper/Repeat, etc.) for the courses allocated, even if the term of contract is complete.

Application Fee

The fee is paid by bank draft payable to the Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida. The notice also gives details for online payment. The online payment reference number or transaction number must be filled in the application form.

How to Apply

4. Paste your photograph, sign the declaration, and enclose the self-attested copies the form asks for.

What Happens on the Day

Candidates must appear in person, as the walk-in interview is held in physical mode only. Original certificates and documents supporting the application are checked at the interview. No deviation from the details filled in the form is entertained. The Selection Committee finalizes the honorarium at the interview. Selected candidates must join duties physically in the Department at GBU.

Important Instructions

• Unsigned or incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. So will applications without the fee or supporting documents, and applications received late.
• The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill the post.
• Candidates must have at least one working email, which will be used during the entire selection process.
• Any modification or corrigendum will be uploaded only on the University website, www.gbu.ac.in. No other means of communication will be used.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Interim correspondence or enquiries will not be entertained or replied to.
• Any attempt to influence the recruitment process will lead to disqualification. In any dispute, the decision of the Competent Authority, GBU, is final.
• Unauthorized absence for a continuous period of 06 days without valid reasons and without prior intimation may lead to termination. The Dean of the School ensures regular attendance.
• To resign, at least one month’s prior notice is required. Otherwise the Competent Authority may forfeit the emolument. Service may be terminated for misconduct, poor performance, concealing facts or canvassing.
• A candidate who leaves without permission will not get a Certificate of Experience or the dues for that day. The working candidate must submit a No Dues Certificate to the Dean of the School. Selected candidates have no right to claim regularization, absorption or a further contract.
