The District Child Protection Unit, Saran is creating a panel of 20 Support Persons under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the POCSO Rules, 2020. You can apply only if you live in Saran district and are older than 30 and younger than 65. Applications go by registered post or email within 21 days of the advertisement’s publication on 18 October 2026, which works out to 8 November 2026. Each Support Person receives Rs. 9000/- for each POCSO case, paid in three instalments.

Age Limit

You must be older than 30 years and younger than 65 years. Age is counted as on 1 July 2026. The notice states that the age limit fixed for selecting members of the Child Welfare Committee in the state applies.

Preferred: experience with a District Legal Services Authority, a District Child Protection Unit, a Child Welfare Committee, a Juvenile Justice Board, a POCSO court or Childline services.

Selection Process

A selection committee chooses candidates on the basis of their educational qualification and an interview. The list of candidates eligible for interview and the panel list will also be published on the website and the office notice board.
