Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Junior Research Fellow under the CSIR-ASPIRE Project titled “Preclinical Studies on Targeting Beta-hCG as a Treatment Strategy for BRCA1 Promoter Hypermethylated Breast Cancers”, in the laboratory of Dr. Priya Srinivas, Scientist G & Dean at the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram. About RGCB Junior Research Fellow

The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), located in Thiruvananthapuram, is an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. This recruitment is for a temporary project position under a CSIR-ASPIRE research scheme focused on breast cancer preclinical studies.

Who Can Apply

Candidates must fulfil the essential qualification requirements to be eligible for the Junior Research Fellow position.

Essential Qualification

• B.S. 4 years programme / BPharm / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / MSc / BE / BTech or equivalent degree, with 55% marks.
• Passing of NET/GATE test in any branches of Life Sciences (As per CSIR guidelines for Research Scheme/Sponsored Schemes. CSIR HRDG website: www.csirhrdg.res.in).

Pay and Tenure

The selected Junior Research Fellow will receive a monthly emolument of ₹ 37,000/- + 16% HRA per month. The appointment is initially for a period of one year or till termination of the project whichever is earlier.

As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with the end of the project.
