UCSL Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Applicants must be Indian citizens.

UCSL Qualification

दोनों पदों के लिए संबंधित इंजीनियरिंग शाखाओं में तीन साल का डिप्लोमा अनिवार्य है, जो राज्य तकनीकी शिक्षा बोर्ड से होना चाहिए।

Experience

Supervisor (Nesting):

• Minimum of seven years post-qualification experience in the area of Nesting, related to Plate Processing / CNC Cutting / Production Planning / CAD-CAM in a Ship Building, Offshore Fabrication company, Marine related Engineering company, or Government / Semi-Government Company / Establishment.
• Out of seven years, at least two years of experience shall be in a Supervisory grade.
• Desirable: Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, SAP.

Supervisor (Mechanical):

• Minimum of seven years post-qualification experience in the area of Piping / Machinery / Structural outfitting functions in a Ship Building, Ship Repair, Offshore Fabrication company, Marine related Engineering company, or Government / Semi-Government Company / Establishment.
• Out of seven years, at least two years of experience shall be in a Supervisory grade.
• Desirable: Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, SAP.

दोनों पदों के लिए योग्यता के बाद कम से कम 7 साल का क्षेत्रीय अनुभव जरूरी है, जिसमें कम से कम 2 साल सुपरवाइजर के पद पर काम किया हो। एम एस प्रोजेक्ट, ऑफिस और SAP की जानकारी लाभकारी मानी जाती है।

UCSL Age Limit

The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 45 years as on 28 October 2026 (applicants should be born on or after 29 October 1981).

Age Relaxation

उम्र सीमा 28 अक्टूबर 2026 तक अधिकतम 45 वर्ष है, लेकिन अनुसूचित जनजाति और पूर्व सैनिकों के लिए सरकारी नियमों के अनुसार छूट दी गई है।

UCSL Salary

Other benefits include National Pension System, Contributory Provident Fund, Accident Insurance coverage, Reimbursement of Medical expenses under the Contributory Medical Insurance policy, leave encashment, etc.

UCSL Application Fee

The fee must be remitted using online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking) through the online application facility from 07 October 2026 to 28 October 2026. No other mode of payment is accepted.

UCSL Selection Process

The selection process includes Phase I (Offline Written test comprising Objective Type Test for 40 Marks and Descriptive Type Test for 40 Marks) and Phase II (Power Point presentation on work experience for 20 Marks).

Phase I – Objective Type Test

The objective type test is of 45 minutes duration and carries 40 marks (each question carries 1 mark with no negative marking):

Minimum pass mark: 50% of total marks for Unreserved posts; 40% of total marks for ST candidates.

Phase I – Descriptive Type Test

The descriptive type written test carries 40 marks, of 90 minutes duration, comprising discipline-related questions.

Phase II – Power Point Presentation

Held at Udupi CSL, Malpe, or any other location decided by Udupi CSL, of duration not more than ten minutes highlighting the work experience of candidates, carrying 20 marks.

• Candidates are liable to be transferred within different units of Udupi CSL or serve on-board ships or project sites in India or abroad.
• Selected candidates shall be placed at the minimum of the pay scale; pay protection will not be considered.
