The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is at V.N. Purav Marg, Deonar, Mumbai – 400 088. • Duration: 6 months to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Relevant environments: prior experience working in hostels, hotels, guest houses, hospitals or student dormitories.
• Key tasks: proven experience in handling industrial cleaning equipment, chemical safety, bed-making and deep-cleaning bathrooms.
• Candidates with good oral communication skills in Hindi, Marathi and preferably English will be given preference.

Age Limit

Candidates should preferably be below 40 years as on 30 October 2026. The Institute reserves the right to relax any of the qualification, experience or age limit in exceptional cases. It may also relax them for a person who already holds an analogous position in a Government Department, a Research and Academic Institution or Industry.

How to Apply for TISS Recruitment 2026

Applicants send their resume by email or submit a hard copy. The last date is 10 November 2026. The notice gives this as the last date for submission of applications and as the last date of receipt of online applications.

Selection and Interview

TISS may shortlist the applications it receives. Having the prescribed qualifications and the required experience does not by itself entitle a candidate to be called for the interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail or mobile phone on or before 14 November 2026. They will then appear for an interaction on 17 November 2026.

Documents are verified at the interaction. Shortlisted candidates should bring self-attested photocopies of:

• Certificates of Educational Qualifications
• Work Experience certificates
• ID Proof

They should also bring the original documents for verification. The selected candidate will be required to join immediately.
