Educational Qualification: Essential: Graduate from a recognized University. Desirable: Recognized Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Law, Management, Human Rights, Rehabilitation or Education of Persons with Disabilities.

Age Limit: Must not have attained the age of 56 years as on 1st January of the year in which the last date for receipt of applications occurs. The term is for 3 years or until attaining the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, for a maximum of two terms.

Selection Process
The appointment is made by the State Government on the recommendation of a Search-cum-Selection Committee. The committee recommends a panel of 3 suitable candidates to the State Government.
