The post is for International Centre, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Qualification required: Qualification and experience of a Professor in the relevant discipline, with aggregate teaching or research experience of not less than fifteen years: (A) eminent scholar with Ph.D., at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, research score of 120, 15 years’ teaching/research experience and doctoral guidance; OR (B) outstanding professional with Ph.D. and fifteen years’ experience. The pay is Academic Level 14 (Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200), entry pay Rs. 1,44,200 with usual allowances as per University rules. The application fee is Rs. 400 for Unreserved (Open). Selection is by academic, Teachings and Research Credentials (ATR) score as per Government Resolution Sankirn.2025/E.860421/Vishi.1, dated 06.10.2025 and interview. Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: Qualification and experience shall be that of the Professor in relevant discipline having aggregate minimum teaching or research experience of not less than fifteen years; A (i): An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, actively engaged in research, with a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulation 2018; A (ii): A minimum of fifteen years of teaching experience in University/College as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions, with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate; OR B: An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above)/industry, who has made significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence, provided he/she has fifteen years’ experience
• Experience: Aggregate minimum teaching or research experience of not less than fifteen years

Other conditions:

• Knowledge of Marathi Language is essential
• Eligibility criteria will be as that for the post of Professor
• Teaching experience as an approved teacher will only be considered
• Experience in regular scale will only be considered towards total experience
• Time taken to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. is not counted as teaching/research experience
• For doctoral guidance experience, at least one student must have submitted the Ph.D. thesis for evaluation

Desirable:

• Administrative experience to coordinate various administrative and academic processes of a large University
• Experience of handling foreign delegations and/or collaborative matters in the University
• Some experience of managing affairs of International Students in the University
• Exposure of teaching/administration in leading Foreign University
• Implementation of policies and strategies for promotion of international linkages with premier national and international universities and institutions
• Overseeing administration of International Students cell and processing visit and exchange applications

योग्यता में पीएच.डी. के साथ कम से कम 15 साल का शिक्षण या शोध अनुभव और मराठी भाषा का ज्ञान अनिवार्य है। प्रशासनिक और अंतरराष्ट्रीय छात्रों के प्रबंधन का अनुभव वांछनीय माना गया है।

Who Cannot Apply for SPPU Recruitment 2026

Pay and Terms of Engagement

How to Apply for SPPU Recruitment 2026 Online

1. Apply online from 03.11.2026 to 17.11.2026 on the University website http://admin.unipune.ac.in/recruitment.
2. Take the printout of the online application and affix a passport size photo on it.
3. Attach self-attested copies of the supporting documents in the order listed in the notice.
4. Attach the small family declaration in the prescribed Declaration Form A.
5. Send the printed copy with all enclosures to the Deputy Registrar, Administration Non-Teaching Section, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune – 411 007, on or before 23.11.2026 up to 06.00 pm.
6. Candidates already employed must apply through the proper channel.
