Q1. What is NCR GDCE Recruitment 2026?
NCR GDCE Recruitment 2026 is the General Departmental Competitive Examination recruitment notified by the Railway Recruitment Cell, North Central Railway, Prayagraj, under Notification No. RRC/NCR/GDCE – 01/2026 dated 28.09.2026. It invites online applications from eligible serving regular employees (except RPF/RPSF) having lien in North Central Railway for posts against the GDCE quota.

Q4. Who can apply for NCR GDCE 2026?
Only eligible serving regular employees (except RPF/RPSF) having lien in North Central Railway can apply. No minimum service condition is prescribed as per RBE 72/2024 dated 02.08.2024. Outside candidates cannot apply under this notification.

Q5. What is the qualification for NCR GDCE 2026?
It depends on the post. ALP and Technician posts require Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI or Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in specified trades (with Diploma or Degree options for ALP and Technician-I, and 10+2 with Physics and Maths as an option for Technician-III Sig & Tele). JE posts require a three years Diploma in the specified Engineering disciplines (B.E./B.Tech acceptable in lieu of Diploma), and the clerk posts require 12th (+2) with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate, with relaxations as stated in the notification.

The lower age limit is 18 years for all categories. The upper age limit is 42 years for UR, 45 years for OBC and 47 years for SC/ST, reckoned as on 01.01.2027.

Candidates can apply online only through the link on the official website www.rrcpryj.org. They need to complete “New Registration”, log in with the registration number and password received by e-mail/SMS, fill in the details with post preference, and upload the required documents and photograph.

Q8. What is the selection process for NCR GDCE 2026?
The selection process has a single-stage CBT, followed by an Aptitude Test for ALP (CBAT) or a Typing Skill Test for Junior Clerk cum Typist (CBTST), Document Verification and Medical Examination. Selection is strictly on merit.

Q9. What is the salary for NCR GDCE 2026 posts?
The salary amount is not specified in the notification. The posts fall under 7th CPC Pay Levels 2 (ALP, Technician-III, Junior Clerk cum Typist), 3 (Commercial cum Ticket Clerk), 5 (Technician-I) and 6 (Junior Engineer).
