Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) has announced 1 vacancy for the Senior Research Fellow (Botany) post on a contract basis under the 2026 recruitment drive. Eligible candidates possessing an M.Sc. (Botany) degree from any recognised University/Institute and meeting the age limit of not exceeding 35 years as on 1 July 2026 can attend the walk-in selection process. The walk-in is scheduled for 3 November 2026 with reporting at 10:00 AM, following the venue details provided in the official notification. The notified pay is Rs. 42,000 + HRA (as per rule) per month, and the selection process consists of a Written Examination followed by a Walk-in Interview.

यह पद एक ही व्यक्ति के लिए है, जिसकी नियुक्ति 3 नवंबर 2026 को सुबह 10 बजे निर्धारित स्थान पर होने वाली वॉक-इन प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से होगी। उम्मीदवारों को M.Sc. (Botany) होना अनिवार्य है।

Posts and Eligibility

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (Botany) degree from any recognised University/Institute, along with 02 years of research/teaching experience with published work in Botany (Plant Science) given preference.

Desirable Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates possessing higher qualifications viz. Ph.D. or previous research experience i.e. worked for any research project funded by the Ministry of Ayush, ICMR, CSIR, DST or equivalent organization; skills of drafting/editing of scientific documents/articles/technical reports etc.; publications in peer-reviewed journals; and working knowledge of computer applications such as M.S. Word, M.S. Excel, and M.S. Power Point, etc.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on date of Walk-In-Interview (01.07.2026 is specified for age calculation in general instructions). Age relaxation will be admissible for SC/ST/OBC persons as per Central Govt. Rules in force.

RARI Senior Research Fellow (Botany) Job Description

The selected candidate will be engaged under the project titled “Medico Ethno-Botanical exploration and documentation of traditional practices prevailing among local communities of Darma Valley” to carry out field research, botanical documentation, drafting of scientific reports, and related research duties assigned by the institute.

चयनित उम्मीदवार को दारमा घाटी के स्थानीय समुदायों की पारंपरिक चिकित्सा और वनस्पति संबंधी प्रथाओं का क्षेत्रीय शोध और दस्तावेजीकरण करना होगा, साथ ही वैज्ञानिक रिपोर्ट तैयार करनी होगी।

• A set of photocopies of all certificates
• Two recent passport-size photographs

उम्मीदवारों को वॉक-इन इंटरव्यू के लिए काउंसिल की वेबसाइट से डाउनलोड किया हुआ फॉर्म भरकर, मूल प्रमाण पत्र, अनुभव प्रमाण पत्र, उनकी फोटोकॉपी और दो पासपोर्ट साइज फोटो साथ लेकर आना होगा।

What Happens on the Day

Candidates must report at the venue by 10:00 A.M. on 03.11.2026. Eligible candidates will first appear for a written examination. Successful candidates from the written test will be called for the walk-in interview on the same day. Selection is based on performance in written tests and interviews.

उम्मीदवारों को 3 नवंबर 2026 को सुबह 10 बजे स्थान पर रिपोर्ट करना होगा, जहां पहले लिखित परीक्षा होगी और सफल उम्मीदवारों का उसी दिन इंटरव्यू लिया जाएगा। चयन दोनों चरणों के प्रदर्शन पर निर्भर करेगा।

Important Instructions

• Appointment is initially for a period of six months, which may be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the competent authority, and engagements are coterminous with the project.
• The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis with no claim for continuation or regular appointment.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the written test/interview.
• Candidates must download the prescribed format from www.ccras.nic.in and bring it along with a bio-data to the walk-in.
• The number of vacancies is subject to variation.
• The Institute In-charge reserves the right to cancel the advertisement/recruitment for all/any of the posts without assigning any reason.
