The ICMR-sponsored NIDAAN project in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, has one temporary post of Project Research Scientist – I (non-medical) at Rs. 56,000/- per month + 20% HRA if accommodation is not provided. The essential qualification is a Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, or a Four Years Graduate degree for Engineering / IT / CS, as per ICMR non-medical recruitment guidelines. Who Can Apply

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals. The essential qualification is as per ICMR non-medical recruitment guidelines:

• Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees.
• For Engineering / IT / CS – Four Years Graduate degree.

• Experience in point-of-care or in-vitro diagnostics platforms, particularly in bio-assay development, image analysis, rapid prototyping and customized instrumentation.

Pay and Tenure

The remuneration is Rs. 56,000/- per month + 20% HRA if accommodation is not provided. The post is a purely temporary position and co-terminus with the project. It is initially for a period of 1 year and can be extended based on the performance to 3 years. The notice says all terms and conditions will be as per the guidelines of ICMR, New Delhi and NIT Jamshedpur.

Application format

The attached format asks for: name, father’s or spouse’s name, mother’s name, gender, marital status, correspondence and permanent address, email ID and phone number, date of birth and age as on the closing date of the advertisement, nationality, category (GEN/SC/ST/OBC, with proof), languages known, and a photograph. It also has a table for 10th, 12th, UG and PG details (university or board, year, subjects, marks or CGPA, class), GATE/NET details if any (score card to be attached), an “any other relevant information” section and a signed declaration.
