National Institute of Technology Delhi will hold a walk-in interview on Friday, 30 October 2026 at 2 pm. The venue is the Computational lab in the Civil Engineering Department at NIT Delhi (Department of Civil Engineering, NIT Delhi, New Delhi – 110036). The interview is for two temporary posts, Project Associate and Research Associate, in an NBCC (INDIA) LIMITED sponsored project in the Department of Civil Engineering. The pay is Rs. 45,000/- plus HRA for Project Associate and Rs. 75,000/- plus HRA for Research Associate. The posts come under Advertisement No. NITD/CED/NBCC/REC/26/10/01, dated 12 October 2026.

National Institute of Technology Delhi is, as its letterhead describes it, an autonomous Institute under the aegis of the Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya), Govt. of India. It is located at Plot No. FA7, Zone P1, GT Karnal Road, Delhi-110036. Both posts serve an NBCC (INDIA) LIMITED sponsored project in the Department of Civil Engineering. The area of project work is sustainable concrete construction/technology, and the Principal Investigator is Dr. Ajay Kumar.

Posts and Eligibility

Desirable experience (both posts): The candidate should possess a good knowledge of concrete technology and construction practices.

What to Bring

Interested candidates must bring the completed application form attached to this advertisement. The form is on the second page of the notification PDF. Bring the following to the walk-in interview:

• The completed application form, with the post applied for ticked (Project Associate / Research Associate) and signed under the declaration, with the date and place.
• A recent passport size coloured photograph pasted on the form.
• Self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents for your academic qualifications.
• A self-attested photocopy of any qualifying examination (GATE/Others), if you have one.
• A no-objection certificate from your employer, if you are currently employed.

What Happens on the Day

The interview will be held at NIT Delhi, preferably in physical mode. The selected candidate will be expected to join immediately. No candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found.

Important Instructions

• Both posts are temporary. The duration is 1.5 Years or till Completion of the Project, whichever is earlier. Any extension for selected candidates would be based on a performance review every 06 months.
• The appointment is terminable with one month’s notice on either side. It does not confer any right to extension and/or reappointment of the candidate.
• No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates called for an interview.
