The obtained marks list shows the written examination marks (out of 800), interview marks (out of 100), and total marks (out of 900) for candidates included in the main selection list. A sample of the marks published is given below:

Selection Process 

The final selection is based on the total marks obtained in the written examination and interview combined (900 marks). Where more than one candidate obtains equal total marks, the Commission applies the following tie-break rules, in order:

1. Candidate with a higher combined total of written examination and interview marks is ranked first.
2. If the total marks are still equal, the candidate with higher marks in the written examination alone is ranked higher.
3. If the written examination marks are also equal, the candidate with a higher age is given preference.

Important Notes

• This result covers only the 87% main portion of the advertised posts. The result for the remaining 13% provisional portion (relating to OBC reservation) will be declared separately after the final judicial decision in the related pending court matter.
• No representations or objections regarding the provisional portion will be considered until the final court decision; any such representations received will be rejected.
• As per General Administration Department circular dated 10.02.1997, posts reserved for women may be filled by male candidates of the respective category if a sufficient number of eligible women candidates are not available.
• The declared result is subject to the final outcome of pending cases before the Supreme Court (SLP No. 8764/2023 and SLP No. 12398/2023) and the High Court (WP No. 5901/2019, WP No. 5596/2024) and other similar petitions.
• The result of candidates involved in ongoing court cases has been kept on hold, pending the final court decision.
• Eligibility for guest faculty reservation and applicable age relaxation has been verified by a departmental committee nominated by the Higher Education Department.
• If any computer or clerical error is noticed by the Commission after publication of the result, the Commission reserves the right to correct the result.
