Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is hiring a Public Relations Officer and an Executive Engineer (Civil) on contract. There is 1 vacancy in each post. The Public Relations Officer gets a maximum consolidated pay of Rs. 45,000 per month and needs a degree plus a PG Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Mass Communication or Journalism. The Executive Engineer (Civil) post is for retired Executive Engineers and above from PWD or CPWD with a B Tech in Civil Engineering. Applications are accepted online only, on the Centre for Management Development (CMD) website, www.cmd.kerala.gov.in. Kerala State Road Transport Corporation is a statutory corporation established under the provisions of the Road Transport Corporations Act, 1950. For this recruitment, the Centre for Management Development (CMD), Thiruvananthapuram, receives the applications and handles parts of the selection process.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be citizens of India and should be able to write and speak English and Malayalam fluently. Work experience and the upper age limit are counted as on 01.10.2026.

Public Relations Officer

• Degree in any discipline awarded by a UGC recognized university or National institute under the GoI.
• PG Degree/ Diploma in Public Relation / Mass communications / Journalism / Public Relations and advertising / Public relations and visual media communication (any one of the above PG/Diploma recognized by the GoI or Kerala Government).
• Proficiency in Malayalam and English in preparation of news items, news stories, news materials, advertisements, press releases and related journalistic materials.
• Experience: having experience in Print media approved by RNI List.
• Upper age limit: 60 years as on 01.10.2026.

पब्लिक रिलेशंस ऑफिसर के लिए किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से डिग्री और संबंधित क्षेत्र में पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट डिग्री या डिप्लोमा जरूरी है, साथ ही मलयालम और अंग्रेजी भाषा में लेखन और संवाद कौशल आवश्यक है।

Executive Engineer (Civil)

• Qualification: B Tech in Civil Engineering degree OR Equivalent qualification recognized by University of Kerala.
• Experience: Retired Executive Engineers above from PWD / CPWD engaged in the design and construction of major buildings. Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years experience in the construction of buildings.
• Upper age limit: 65 years as on 01.10.2026.
• The conditions of experience and age limit may be relaxed in the case of exceptionally qualified candidates.
• Preferred, and given weightage in selection: familiarity with Government procedure, designing of multi-storeyed buildings, experience in Auto Cad, Excel Software, Project Management Software, preparation of estimates using PRICE Software, recording in Measurement Book/e Measurement book, e-tendering, preparing bills and supervision of PMC related works.

सिविल इंजीनियर के पद के लिए बी.टेक सिविल इंजीनियरिंग या समकक्ष योग्यता और कम से कम 10 वर्षों का अनुभव आवश्यक है। सरकारी प्रक्रियाओं और तकनीकी सॉफ्टवेयर का ज्ञान चयन में प्राथमिकता देता है।

The qualification must be from a recognised University/Institute. Applicants with a qualification equivalent to a prescribed one must submit an equivalency certificate issued by the competent authority. Without it, the candidature will not be considered. Pay and Tenure

• Public Relations Officer: maximum consolidated pay of Rs. 45,000/- per month. The contract is initially for a period of one (1) year.
• Executive Engineer (Civil): for those who retired from Govt. service, remuneration as per re-employment basis. The contract is initially for a period of one (1) year, extendable on the basis of performance.

Only candidates who are willing to work beyond office hours should apply.

How to Apply for KSRTC Recruitment 2026

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria may apply in ONLINE mode only. No application submitted at the office of KSRTC/CMD, online or offline, will be entertained other than through the online portal.

1. Visit the website of the Centre for Management Development (CMD), Thiruvananthapuram: www.cmd.kerala.gov.in. The online application link opens on 24 October 2026.
2. Fill in the prescribed application form using a valid personal email ID and mobile number. Keep both active until the recruitment process is complete, because CMD may send call letters by email.
3. Upload your updated CV, a passport size photograph taken within six months, your signature and copies of the certificates that prove your qualification and experience.
4. Submit the application by 6 November 2026, 05.00 PM.
5. Check for a confirmation message or email from the portal, and save or note down the application reference number for future correspondence.

• Copies of certificates proving qualification and experience, in JPEG or PDF format; each attachment must not exceed 3 MB
• Self-attested copies of all the documents needed to prove identity, age, qualifications and experience
• Equivalency certificate from the competent authority, for applicants with an equivalent qualification
• For current experience: an AFFIDAVIT giving the employer, designation, period, nature of job, tasks and responsibilities

Copies of appointment letters, salary certificates, pay slips and similar papers are not accepted in place of a work experience certificate.

Selection and Interview

Applications will be scrutinised based on the details the candidate provides, and a list of candidates eligible for the further selection process will be prepared. Selection will be based on an interview of the shortlisted candidates. KSRTC/CMD reserves the right to add another selection process if required.

• KSRTC/CMD may shortlist only a limited number of candidates, based on relevancy of experience, quality of academic achievements and overall suitability for the position.
• CMD may decide the selection process based on specific requirements. It may include application screening, criteria-based screening, a written test, group discussion, a skill test/proficiency test, an interview, or any combination of these.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the selection process, by email, SMS or phone call. CMD may send the intimation to download call letters to the registered e-mail ID.
• Admission to any stage of the recruitment is provisional. Applications and credentials will be scrutinised in detail before the interview/appointment, and any discrepancy will lead to rejection.
• CMD reserves the rules for the cut-off marks in all stages of the recruitment.

Important Instructions

• The Public Relations Officer will be posted in Thiruvananthapuram and has to travel extensively throughout the State.
• Executive Engineer (Civil) candidates must be willing to be posted anywhere in Kerala and to travel extensively within the State and outside.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Applications without complete data, with wrong or unnecessary documents, or with a blurred or illegible photograph or signature will be rejected.
• If the details in the online form do not match the original documents, the candidature will be rejected. If any information is found to be false at any stage, the candidature or appointment is liable to be cancelled or terminated without notice.
• CMD may ask for additional documents to support the qualification, experience or other eligibility requirements.
• The Competent Authority may debar a candidate for any malpractice, including a fraudulent claim of any benefit, relaxation or concession.
• KSRTC/CMD reserves the right to fill or not fill the posts without giving any reason. KSRTC may modify or cancel the notification, revise the number of posts, or stop the recruitment process at any time.
