Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) is recruiting candidates for 1 SSE/STA (S&T) post on a contract basis through a walk-in interview scheduled for 18 November 2026. Applicants must hold a Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Information Technology/Communication Engineering/Computer Science &. Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or M.Sc Electronics, from a recognized University/institute with minimum 1 Year experience in Railway working, and be 30 years (as on 1 October 2026). The consolidated pay offered for the post is Rs. 52,060 – 59,140 per month. KRCL Recruitment 2026 Job Description

• Integrated Maintenance Contract for Katra (Excl.)–Banihal (Excl.) section of Northern Railway, J&K in Signal and Telecommunication (S&T) Department.
• Attend emergencies and other calls of duties, as demanded and expected, during their day-to-day activities.
• Normal working hours as applicable or as intimated at KRCL project sites are to be followed. During exigencies, some extra hour working will be required but no extra over time or any other type of allowance/ compensation for working beyond the nominated hours shall be paid.
• TA as per the rates prescribed in extent policy of KRCL whenever the candidate is required to travel for official work beyond the project area.

पद का काम कात्रा से बानीहाल रेलवे सेक्शन के सिग्नल और टेलीकम्युनिकेशन के रख-रखाव का है। आपातकालीन स्थितियों में काम करना होगा और आमतौर पर निर्धारित समय के अनुसार काम करना होगा। अतिरिक्त काम के लिए कोई ओवरटाइम या भत्ते नहीं मिलेंगे। यात्रा के लिए कंपनी के नियमों के अनुसार टेलीफोन भत्ता मिलेगा।

Posts and Eligibility

Salary and Allowances Details

The consolidated remuneration (Rs.):

• As per A Class: Basic Rs. 22,405 + DA Rs. 12,995 + As per A Class Allowances Rs. 21,740 + Special Allowance Rs. 2,000 = Rs. 59,140 per month
• As per B Class: Basic Rs. 22,405 + DA Rs. 12,995 + As per B Class Allowances Rs. 18,200 + Special Allowance Rs. 2,000 = Rs. 55,600 per month
• As per C Class: Basic Rs. 22,405 + DA Rs. 12,995 + As per C Class Allowances Rs. 14,660 + Special Allowance Rs. 2,000 = Rs. 52,060 per month

Note: Consolidated remuneration is inclusive of Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance, Mobile Allowance, etc. Increment of remuneration will increase by 3% of the consolidated remuneration after completion of every 02 years subjected to requirement of project and as per the discretion of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited. Statutory Income Tax, Professional Tax and other taxes will be deducted at source, as applicable from time to time.

वेतन शहर के वर्ग के अनुसार अलग-अलग होगा: A वर्ग शहर में अधिकतम 59,140 रुपये, B वर्ग में 55,600 रुपये और C वर्ग में 52,060 रुपये प्रति माह। वेतन में बेसिक, महंगाई भत्ता, मकान भत्ता, मोबाइल भत्ता आदि शामिल हैं। हर दो सालों में 3% वेतन वृद्धि हो सकती है। टैक्स संबंधित कटौती भी होगी।

What to Bring

• Application prepared in the prescribed format as given (Annexure A).
• Two passport size recent photographs (Signed A-crossed).
• Copies of all certificates in proof of qualifications (As per the qualification specified in Notification Annexures) along with one set of self attested copies.
• Copy of Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC/SSC Certificate/Birth Certificate) along with one set of self attested copies.
• Experience Certificate issued by previous employer along with one set of self attested copies.
• Character certificate from Gazetted officer/Executive officers for certifying that he/she is bearing good moral character.
• Certificate in support of claims for Ex-servicemen, if any.

What Happens on the Day

• Registration: Candidates shall arrive at the time (09.00 hrs to 12:00 hrs only on the date of walk-in-interview) and venue and get registered with the nominated KRCL official for the walk-in interview as indicated.
• Preliminary Screening: After preliminary screening of the applications submitted by the candidates in person, the provisionally eligible candidate(s) will only be interviewed.
• Elimination Round: Group Discussion (GD) or any other elimination round like written test, etc., can be introduced depending on the number of candidates and those candidates who get through in the elimination round will be called for the process of selection.
• Interview: The candidate will be interviewed by a nominated Committee and the selection will be finalized and drawn merit list based on the performance in the interview, qualification and post qualification experience gained by the Candidate.

इंटरव्यू के दिन उम्मीदवार सुबह 9 से 12 बजे के बीच पंजीकरण कराएंगे। पहले आवेदन पत्रों की जांच होगी, उसके बाद योग्य उम्मीदवारों का इंटरव्यू होगा। जरूरत पड़ने पर ग्रुप डिस्कशन या लिखित परीक्षा भी हो सकती है। अंतिम चयन इंटरव्यू प्रदर्शन और योग्यता के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

KRCL Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions

• Candidates should come prepared to stay for minimum 2 days, if required, at their own cost. No train/bus fare/ TA/DA shall be payable by the Corporation.
• The selected candidates will be covered under KRCL’s Special Insurance Scheme for an amount of ₹. 25,00,000/- while on duty at site in Jammu & Kashmir (U.T) for self only.
• Health Benefits- The selected candidate shall be entitled for reimbursement of premium of mediclaim policy to the extent of ₹. 1333/- per month from the recognized insurance company for self and family taken by him/her. The reimbursement will be made to him on production of original receipt of payment of the premium.
• Selected candidates will be required to execute agreement bond in favour of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited on Rs. 100/- stamp paper to serve the Company for the period specified in the subsequent para above or any further extended period on Rs.100/- stamp paper. Selected candidate will be required to submit surety bond on Rs. 100/- stamp paper for serving KRCL for the period of 3 Years. In case of resignation from KRCL before the completion of Bond Period, the payment of 3 months’ salary in lieu of Notice period and training cost incurred plus 12.5 % interest to be paid to KRCL.
• Selected candidate will have to pass prescribed medical examination before the contract is entered into, for fitness to perform the work awarded.
• The selected candidates should be able to join at the project site/place of posting within maximum 30 days after issuing of offer of appointment by KRCL.
• The candidate selected for the above contractual agreement shall not be absorbed in KRCL regular service. The candidate therefore, shall not have right to claim for permanent absorption in KRCL and shall be required to give an undertaking in writing to KRCL to that effect.
• No accommodation will be provided. No Food or Food/Mess Allowance will be paid by KRCL.
