Job Role and Responsibilities

The Chairman & Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the company, accountable to the Board of Directors and the Government of India, and responsible for its efficient functioning and for meeting its corporate objectives and performance parameters.

• Liaise with important customers and Central Government Authorities, particularly the Department of Defence Production and the Defence Research & Development Organization.
• Maintain close liaison with the three Service Headquarters on ongoing Defence projects, and develop further business in night vision and laser sighting devices.
• Liaise with State Government Authorities, heads of other Public Sector Undertakings, customers, collaborators, and commercial and financial institutions.
• Provide overall leadership on indigenization and import substitution, exports, business development and marketing, defence production, modernization, R&D and innovation.

Age Limit

Age is counted on the date of occurrence of vacancy, and the age of superannuation is 60 years. The same limits apply to internal candidates and others.

Educational Qualification

The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate/ Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant/ Post Graduate/Graduate with MBA/ PGDIM from a leading institute.

• Cumulative 5 years of experience in HR/IR/Personnel Management, along with at least 3 years experience during the last 10 years in any of the above core areas.

• A State Public Sector Enterprise with annual turnover of Rs 750 Crore or more.
• A Private Sector Company, Joint Venture or National or State Level Cooperative Federation with annual turnover of Rs. 750 crore or more.

Turnover is the average audited annual turnover of the three financial years preceding the calendar year of the advertisement. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies among private company applicants. Applicants from private companies, JVs and federations will be arranged in order of the annual turnover of these entities.
