- b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by MHRD and its Agencies and Institutions, such as UGC/IIT/IISc/IISER /IIIT, etc.
Candidates also need a minimum of 60% aggregate or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 and above on a 10-point scale.
Desirable Qualifications
- Working knowledge of statistics/weather forecast data analysis/Machine learning
- Expertise in Python, PyTorch
- Experience in dealing with WRF and NWP data

The JRF will be involved as a full-time expert in analysing meteorological data, writing computer programs, developing deep learning models, and implementing the project objectives:
- (i) Spatio-temporal analysis of output from a Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) Model
- (ii) Applying deep learning models
- (iii) Downscaling and bias correction of snow-met variables in the avalanche prone areas
