Posts and Eligibility

There is one post, Programmer on daily wage basis, with 1 (One) anticipated vacancy. The notice prints the qualification as MCA / BTech / MSc (Computer Science) + 2 years Experience. The upper age limit for the post is 59 years. Preference will be given to experienced candidates.

Candidates who passed the qualifying examination from a university other than the University of Calicut must produce an equivalency certificate at the interview. This follows the rules and regulations the University issues from time to time. Only candidates who meet the required age and qualification need attend the walk-in interview. Retired hands can also apply.

The remuneration is ₹ 800/- per day, subject to a maximum of ₹ 21,000/- per month.

What Happens on the Day

Candidates report at 10.00 AM on 6 November 2026 at the Principal’s chamber, IET, and attend a walk-in interview. Their original mark lists and certificates are checked. If needed, the ad-hoc Selection Committee may hold a screening test. IET, University of Calicut reserves the right to change the cut-off qualifications for calling candidates to the interview.

• This is a temporary engagement on daily wage basis. It fills leave or existing vacancies of contract staff.
• The engagement lasts for 179 days or until fresh appointments on contract basis are made to the vacancies concerned, or until the staff on leave rejoin duty, whichever is earlier.
