The Division of Environmental Sciences, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR IARI), will hold a walk-in interview on 14 December 2026 at 9.30AM in Room No. 311, 3rd Floor, NRL Building, Division of Environmental Sciences, ICAR IARI, New Delhi-110012. Registration at the venue is open strictly from 9.30AM to 11.00AM only. The interview fills 3 temporary posts of Young Professional – I (YP-I) at Rs. 30,000 fixed per month and 4 posts of Laboratory cum field Attendant at Rs. 22,000 fixed per month, under the project “Impact assessment and valorisation of iron ore tailing into mineral-rich crop-safe soil conditioner for agri-application” (Code 79-241).

About ICAR IARI

ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi-110012, is an institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). This recruitment is for its Division of Environmental Sciences. The posts serve the Division’s project on the impact assessment and valorisation of iron ore tailing into a mineral-rich, crop-safe soil conditioner for agri-application (Code 79-241).

Posts and Eligibility

The notice offers 7 temporary project positions in two posts. Only candidates who meet the minimum essential qualification will be allowed to appear in the walk-in interview.

Young Professional – I (YP-I)

• Essential: B.Sc. (Agriculture), OR BSc. in any discipline of science (medical) with at least six months’ research experience after the BSc.
• Desirable: Experience in field/lab experimentation/microbiology research and data entry.
• Maximum age: 45 years.
• Pay: Rs. 30,000 fixed per month.

Laboratory cum field Attendant

• Essential: 12th Pass.
• Desirable: Work experience on farming and agricultural farm management practices.
• Maximum age: 45 years.
• Pay: Rs. 22,000 fixed per month.

लैब और फील्ड अटेंडेंट के लिए न्यूनतम 12वीं पास होना आवश्यक है। खेती और कृषि प्रबंधन में अनुभव रखने वाले उम्मीदवारों को अतिरिक्त अंक मिलेंगे।

The desirable qualification is used for scoring only. Candidates who have that experience should bring a certificate of experience.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The maximum age limit is 45 years for both posts. The Annexure-I application form asks for the candidate’s age as on the interview date (14 December 2026).

आयु सीमा 45 वर्ष है लेकिन SC/ST और महिलाओं के लिए 5 वर्ष और OBC के लिए 3 वर्ष की छूट दी गई है, बशर्ते वे प्रमाणपत्र प्रस्तुत करें।

Eligible candidates get the relaxation only if they provide self-attested documents at the walk-in interview.

Pay and Nature of Appointment

Both posts carry a fixed monthly payment, Rs. 30,000 for YP-I and Rs. 22,000 for Laboratory cum field Attendant. These are temporary positions under project Code 79-241. The appointment is for one year but may be extended.

Candidates should check the official notification for the discipline-specific eligibility of each post.

How to Apply

There is no online or postal application. Candidates bring their application in person to the walk-in interview on 14 December 2026.

1. Fill in the prescribed application form, Annexure-I, printed in the notice. Write the post you are applying for in the “Application for the position of” line.
2. Paste an attested passport size photograph on the form and sign it.
3. Fill in the form’s details: name, father’s name, date of birth, age as on 14 December 2026, permanent address with PIN code, mobile number, e-mail, sex, marital status and category (SC/ST/OBC/General).
4. Give your educational qualifications from 10th onwards, your work or professional experience, your publications (only published or accepted research papers), your NOC if it applies, and additional information such as a brief note on how you can contribute to the project. Then sign the self-declaration.
5. Fill in the Annexure-II declaration about relatives employed in ICAR/IARI. Candidates whose relative is an ICAR/IARI employee must submit it in advance. All other candidates hand it in at the interview.
6. To apply for both posts, fill in a separate application for each post and mark each one clearly “Application for post of YP-I/Lab cum Field Attendant”.
7. Bring the application and your documents to the venue on 14 December 2026 and register between 9.30AM and 11.00AM.

What to Bring

• The filled application form in the prescribed Annexure-I format, with photograph and signature
• The filled Annexure-II declaration form, unless already submitted in advance
• Self-attested photocopies of the Xth, XIIth, B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D mark sheets and degree certificates, as applicable
• Proof of date of birth
• Experience certificates, including a certificate of experience for the desirable qualification
• Proof of training and dissertation, where applicable
• Original documents for verification
• A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your present employer, if you are working elsewhere
• Self-attested documents for an age relaxation (SC/ST, women, OBC), if you claim one

What Happens on the Day

• Registration: Registration at the venue is open strictly from 9.30AM to 11.00AM on 14 December 2026. Only applications in the prescribed Annexure-I format are accepted.
• Document verification: At registration, your self-attested photocopies are checked against the original documents.
• Eligibility check: Only candidates who meet the minimum essential qualification appear in the interview. Working candidates without an NOC from their present employer will not be registered.
• Interview: The desirable qualification (experience) is used for scoring only. The decision of the Interview Committee is final and binding on the applicant.

Important Instructions

• An application without a photograph and signature is liable to be rejected.
• Your candidature or appointment may be cancelled or rejected without notice if any information is found false, incorrect or incomplete, or if you are found ineligible at any time before or after the interview or selection (Annexure-I declaration).
• Your candidature is liable to be cancelled if the Annexure-II information about relatives in ICAR/IARI is found incorrect or you conceal facts.
