Footwear Design & Development Institute works under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and describes itself as an Institution of National Importance under the FDDI Act 2017. These posts are being filled on an ad-hoc basis to meet urgent academic requirements at the Ankleshwar campus in Gujarat.

Department-wise Vacancies

Qualification and Experience

The notice states that the qualification and experience of Junior Faculty and Academic Support Cadre shall apply as per the Recruitment Rules for the engagement against the respective positions. Merit, practical teaching ability, presentation and communication skills shall be given due importance. The post-wise requirements printed in the vacancy table are:

Desirable for Junior Faculty (New Product Development): knowledge of manual design and operating 2D and 3D Shoe Design software.

Upper Age Limit

The same upper age limit is printed for all three posts. The notice does not print a date on which age is counted.

सभी पदों के लिए आयु सीमा अलग-अलग वर्गों के अनुसार निर्धारित है, जैसे सामान्य वर्ग के लिए 35 वर्ष, OBC के लिए 38 वर्ष, SC/ST के लिए 40 वर्ष और PWD के लिए 45 वर्ष। पूरी योग्यता जानने के लिए आधिकारिक नोटिफिकेशन देखना जरूरी है।

Pay and Terms

The pay scales shall not apply; only the consolidated pay mentioned in the advertisement shall apply.

Tenure of Engagement

• Initial tenure of engagement is up to 6 months.
• The engagement may be extended, if required, for further periods of up to 06 months, subject to institutional requirements and approval of the competent authority.
• Periodic reviews by the Campus ED and Head of Department (based on student feedback, class observation and compliance with duties) form part of the record at the time of re-engagement.

Leave, Benefits and Accommodation

• For engagement for part of a month, pro-rata payment presuming a 30-day month will be considered.
• Persons under ad-hoc engagement are eligible for 2 casual leave per month, with carry-forward within the current engagement period of 6 months; unavailed casual leave lapses.
• No earned leave or leave encashment is admissible.
• No other benefits are admissible: no claim for HRA, House Allocation, LTC, Medical etc.
• Temporary house/hostel accommodation can be provided at the discretion of the institute upon payment of due charges, and must be vacated within 15 days of discontinuation of the ad-hoc engagement.
• FDDI attendance rules and travel on official duty entitlements apply for the respective levels.

Attendance and Discipline

• Working days shall typically be 5 days per week; the engaged person can be required to attend office on weekends or holidays for operational reasons, against which comp-off can be claimed as per the norms of the institution.
• Ensure maximum student attendance in assigned classes.
• Ensure discipline in class and encourage students to follow discipline in their conduct.
• Submit weekly attendance reports through ERP.
• Participate in departmental reviews and discipline meetings.

जूनियर फैकल्टी को 50,000 रुपये और लैब असिस्टेंट को 30,000 रुपये प्रति माह वेतन मिलेगा। नियुक्ति की अवधि 6 महीने है, जिसे जरूरत के अनुसार बढ़ाया जा सकता है। कर्मचारियों को प्रति माह 2 कैजुअल लीव मिलेगी, लेकिन अन्य भत्ते जैसे HRA या मेडिकल नहीं मिलेंगे।

FDDI Ankleshwar Recruitment 2026 Job Description

The following duties and responsibilities are printed for all the posts:

• Perform all such functions as are the responsibility of the concerned role.
• Assist in student evaluation, project assessment, and other academic functions as assigned.
• Discharge such other responsibilities as are assigned by HOD/ED concerned.
• Adhere to all policies and rules of FDDI as issued from time to time.

Junior Faculty (Illustration & CAD)

• Candidate must be proficient in fashion design and pattern-making for garments/apparel, with expertise in different styles and categories.
• Ability to demonstrate practical skills required.

Lab Assistant (Pattern Making & Garment Construction)

• Practically sound in machine operation, Garment/Apparel pattern making, sample making and demonstration to students.
• Must be responsible for the documentation, record keeping and upkeep of the department.

Junior Faculty (New Product Development)

• Candidate must be well conversant in designing and pattern engineering of various categories of footwear (Classic/Sports/Industrial/Safety/Orthopaedic).

जूनियर फैकल्टी को फैशन डिजाइन और पैटर्न बनाने में दक्ष होना चाहिए, लैब असिस्टेंट को सिलाई मशीन चलाने और कपड़ों के नमूने बनाने का अनुभव होना चाहिए, जबकि फुटवियर डिजाइन के जूनियर फैकल्टी को विभिन्न प्रकार के जूते डिजाइन करने का ज्ञान होना जरूरी है।
