Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) has notified 27 total vacancies for Assistant Professor posts. Candidates applying for the Assistant Professor posts must hold a Master’s degree in the concerned/relevant/allied subject with 55% marks along with NET, SLET, SET, or Ph.D., with academic pay specified at Academic Level 10 Entry Pay of Rs. 57,700/-. Eligible applicants must submit their applications online and then send the printout of the online application through Speed Post or Courier only on or before 23/11/2026 till 17:00 Hrs. The selection process involves short-listing based on the academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A) for Universities, and Appendix II (Table 3B) for Colleges, for interview only, and selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.

Qualification and Experience

Alternatively, the Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai). For the post of Assistant Professor – Sanskrit, Assistant Professor – Hindu Studies, and Assistant Professor – Indian Knowledge System (IKS) candidates are required to have proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Sanskrit.

सहायक प्रोफेसर के लिए उम्मीदवार का मास्टर डिग्री 55% अंकों के साथ होना जरूरी है और UGC के अनुसार NET, SLET, SET या Ph.D. होना चाहिए। विदेश से Ph.D. हो तो विश्व की टॉप 500 यूनिवर्सिटी में से किसी एक की मान्यता होनी चाहिए। संस्कृत, हिंदू स्टडीज और भारतीय ज्ञान प्रणाली विषयों के लिए संस्कृत भाषा का ज्ञान अनिवार्य है।

Pay and Terms

The posts carry the pay scale of Academic Level 10 Entry Pay of Rs. 57,700/- as per the 7th Pay. Minimum qualification and eligibility criteria for the posts will be as per UGC 2018 norms.

सहायक प्रोफेसर पदों पर वेतन 7वें वेतन आयोग के अनुसार 57,700 रुपये की प्रारंभिक वेतन सीमा पर होगा। योग्यता और अन्य पात्रता मानदंड UGC 2018 के नियमों के अनुसार होंगे।
