This post is in its Department of Environmental Science, under a project sponsored by the Anushandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), New Delhi. The project is titled “Hydrological mapping of Arsenic and Fluoride in Ganga – Gomti Doab: An integrated approach on Co-occurrence, Environmental Dynamism and Sustainable Mitigation Methods”. Prof. Narendra Kumar is the Principal Investigator.

The Rs. 37,000/- rate applies to scholars selected through either of these routes:
- National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship)
- A selection process through national level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
राष्ट्रीय स्तर की पात्रता परीक्षाओं जैसे CSIR-UGC NET से चयनित उम्मीदवारों को अधिक वेतन मिलेगा। अन्य उम्मीदवारों को कम वेतन मिलेगा, इसलिए राष्ट्रीय स्तर की परीक्षाएं पास करना लाभकारी होगा।

The age limit is as per ANRF guidelines.
Essential Qualification
Candidates must have completed their M.Sc. Degree in Geology/Earth Science/Environmental Science/Life Sciences.
Desirable Qualification
Good knowledge, experience or publications in analytical/microbial techniques used in water and sediment analysis.
Preference
All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Selection Process
Selection is through a walk-in interview.
चयन केवल इंटरव्यू के आधार पर होगा, इसलिए उम्मीदवार को तैयार होकर सीधे इंटरव्यू में उपस्थित होना चाहिए।
Service Conditions
- The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The appointment is initially for one year. It is extendable for two (1+1) more years or till completion of the project (whichever is later), based on satisfactory performance.
- The position is prone to termination upon unsatisfactory performance, on one month of prior notice.
