Marking Scheme & Score Calculation
CUET UG 2026 में अंक कैसे दिए जाते हैं और स्कोर कैसे कैलकुलेट किया जाता है, इस सेक्शन में बताया गया है।
The CUET UG result is prepared using raw scores based on a fixed marking scheme applied uniformly to objective-type questions across all subjects.
| Type of Response | Marks Awarded |
|---|---|
| Correct Answer | +5 Marks |
| Incorrect Answer | -1 Mark |
| Unattempted Question | 0 Marks |
Formula to calculate CUET UG score:
Total Score = 5 × (Total Correct Answers) − 1 × (Total Incorrect Answers)
Since CUET UG is conducted in multiple shifts and sessions, NTA applies a normalization process known as the Equipercentile method to ensure candidates across different sessions are neither advantaged nor disadvantaged by variations in exam difficulty. Under this method, marks from an easier session may be adjusted slightly downward, while marks from a tougher session may be adjusted slightly upward, based on overall performance trends in each session.
Post-Result Admission Steps
CUET UG Result आने के बाद उम्मीदवारों को क्या-क्या कदम उठाने चाहिए, इसकी जानकारी इस सेक्शन में है।
After the CUET UG 2026 result declaration, participating universities will begin their respective admission and counselling procedures. Candidates should:
- Check the eligibility criteria of their preferred universities and courses
- Register for individual university counselling processes (each participating university conducts its own admission cycle)
- Upload required documents, including the CUET scorecard, on the respective university admission portal
- Participate in seat allocation or merit-list-based admission rounds
- Confirm admission by paying the required fees within the stipulated deadline
It’s worth noting that CUET UG scores are accepted by central universities, state universities, deemed universities, and several private institutions for undergraduate admissions but each institution sets its own cutoff and counselling schedule, so candidates should track individual university websites closely.
Merit List and Counselling Process
यह सेक्शन CUET UG 2026 Merit List और Counselling से संबंधित महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्रदान करता है।
A separate CUET UG merit list is not released centrally by NTA. Instead, each participating university uses the CUET UG result to prepare its own merit list, and candidates whose names appear on a university’s merit list become eligible for that university’s counselling process. This means your CUET UG percentile or score is the foundation, but admission ultimately depends on the specific cutoff set by each university and course combination.
