The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (Industrial Research & Development Unit) will hold a walk-in test/interview on 25 November 2026 at RuTAG Lab, Block II, Room No.247, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi – 110 016. The interview time is 03:00 P.M. for Sr. Project Assistant (Tech.) and 04.30 P.M. for Project Attendant. One post of each is to be filled under Advertisement No. IITD/IRD/315/2026 on contract. The pay-slab is Rs. 47,790 to Rs. 62,350 p.m. for Sr. Project Assistant (Tech.) and Rs. 26,860 to Rs. 35,050 p.m. for Project Attendant, plus HRA @27% in both cases.

यह भर्ती दो पदों के लिए है और इंटरव्यू 25 नवंबर 2026 को IIT दिल्ली के RuTAG लैब में होगा। सीनियर प्रोजेक्ट असिस्टेंट की सैलरी ज्यादा है और दोनों पदों के लिए HRA भी दिया जाएगा।

About IIT Delhi Recruitment 2026

The posts are project appointments under the Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG) 2.0 Centre at IIT Delhi (project code RP04620G), funded by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser, GoI. The project sits in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, its Principal Investigator is Prof. M.R. Ravi, and the project runs up to 08.10.2027. Posts and Eligibility

Candidates must be of Indian nationality. A 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates. Candidates should check the official notification for the discipline-specific eligibility of each post.

सीनियर प्रोजेक्ट असिस्टेंट के लिए M.Tech. आवश्यक है जबकि प्रोजेक्ट अटेंडेंट के लिए 12वीं पास होना जरूरी है। SC/ST उम्मीदवारों को 5% अंक छूट मिल सकती है।

Sr. Project Assistant (Tech.)

• Essential: 1st class M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferably with experience with rural technologies development, testing and implementation.
• Desirable: Ph.D. degree.
• Consolidated pay-slab: Rs. 47,790 – 49,220 – 50,700 – 52,220 – 53,790 – 55,400 – 57,060 – 58,770 – 60,530 – 62,350/- p.m. plus HRA @27%.

यह पद तकनीकी अनुभव वाले मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में M.Tech. डिग्रीधारी उम्मीदवारों के लिए है, जिसमें ग्रामीण तकनीकों का अनुभव हो तो बेहतर है।

Project Attendant

• Essential: Class XII passed.
• Skills in operating machines, fabrication and demonstration of rural technologies.
• Consolidated pay-slab: Rs. 26,860 – 27,660 – 28,500 – 29,360 – 30,240 – 31,150 – 32,080 – 33,040 – 34,030 – 35,050/- p.m. plus HRA @27%.

प्रोजेक्ट अटेंडेंट पद के लिए 12वीं पास होना जरूरी है और मशीन संचालन, निर्माण तथा ग्रामीण तकनीकों के प्रदर्शन में कौशल होना चाहिए।

Appointment is on a contractual basis on consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier. The salary of a selected retired/superannuated government employee will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.

यह नियुक्ति अनुबंध पर है जो सालाना नवीनीकरण के साथ प्रोजेक्ट की अवधि तक होगी। सेवानिवृत्त सरकारी कर्मचारियों का वेतन IRD नियमों के अनुसार तय होगा।

What Happens on the Day

The selection is through a walk-in test/interview on 25 November 2026 at RuTAG Lab, Block II, Room No.247, IIT Delhi. Candidates for Sr. Project Assistant (Tech.) appear at 03:00 P.M. and candidates for Project Attendant at 04.30 P.M. Original academic and professional certificates are verified on the date of interview. Candidates who meet the qualifications/experience should appear for the interview.
