UKPSC Category-wise Vacancy 2026

Additional Eligibility & Domicile Conditions

• Educational Domicile: Candidates must have passed their High School and Intermediate or equivalent examinations from recognized institutions situated within the State of Uttarakhand (with specific exemptions for regular employees of central/state governments, semi-government organizations, public sector undertakings, or armed/paramilitary forces serving in Uttarakhand whose services are non-transferable outside Uttarakhand, and permanent residents living outside the state for livelihood or education).
• Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate’s name must be registered in any District Employment Office located within the State of Uttarakhand up to the last date of application receipt (exempted for those already employed under the State Government of Uttarakhand).
• Preferential Qualifications: Service in the Territorial Army for a minimum of 2 years, or holding an NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate (or NSS ‘C’ certificate for Supply Inspector), carries weightage in direct recruitment where candidates have equal marks.

UKPSC Salary 2026

All posts are Group C, non-gazetted, and covered under the contributory pension scheme (अंशदायी पेंशनयुक्त).

UKPSC Selection Process 2026

The selection process comprises three consecutive stages:

1. Preliminary Examination: Objective-type screening test consisting of General Studies and General Aptitude Test.
2. Main Examination: Written descriptive-type examination comprising four papers.
3. Personality Test (Interview): Viva-voce test for candidates provisionally successful in the main written examination.

Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

Negative Marking: One-fourth (1/4th) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for each incorrect answer or multiple answers. Prelims marks are not added for final merit determination.

Main Examination (Descriptive Type)

Qualifying Marks Note: Candidates must obtain a minimum of 35% marks in General Hindi (Paper-I).

प्रारंभिक परीक्षा में 150 प्रश्न होंगे जिनमें नकारात्मक अंकन भी है। मुख्य परीक्षा में चार पेपर होंगे जिनमें हिंदी भाषा में न्यूनतम 35% अंक आवश्यक हैं। कुल मिलाकर मुख्य परीक्षा 600 अंकों की होती है।

UKPSC Application Correction 2026

Registered candidates can modify their online application data through the correction link available from 03 December 2026 to 12 December 2026 (up to 11:59:59 PM). Mobile number and email ID cannot be changed during the correction window.
