The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS), an autonomous society under the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, will hold a walk-in interview on 7 November 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Upper Basement, Phase-1, ILBS, D-1, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi – 110070. The interview is for one Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) post on an ICMR-funded project, with monthly emoluments of Rs. 72,800/- (Basic Rs.56,000 + 30% HRA).

About ILBS

The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences is an autonomous society under the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, located at Sector D-1, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The post is part of an ICMR-funded project titled “Developing a Culture-Independent Rapid Detection Panel of Bacterial Infection in Ascitic Fluid of Decompensated Liver Cirrhosis and Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis”. The Project PI is Dr Chhagan Bihari, Professor, Department of Pathology, ILBS, New Delhi.

Posts and Eligibility

ILBS has advertised one post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical). The funding agency is the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), and the monthly emoluments are as sanctioned by the funding agency.

Qualification

The minimum essential qualification is a Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees. For Engineering/IT/CS, a Four Years Graduate Degree is required. Experience, if any, is considered only after the candidate has the essential educational qualification.

Terms of the Appointment

• The project duration is 3 years. The appointment is on contract basis for 12 months initially.
• The contract may be extended based on satisfactory performance and/or project duration/availability of funds, whichever is earlier.
• The position is purely contractual and co-terminus with the project duration.
• Selected candidates have no claim for regular appointment at ILBS or continuation in other projects.
