The walk-in interview is on 18 November 2026 from 10:30 AM at the Office of District Programme Officer, Women and Child Development Department, Jagdalpur, District Bastar. Posts and Eligibility

There are 2 posts of Security Guard / Night Guard (Female). Selected candidates are engaged as individual service providers, not as regular employees. Only women candidates will be engaged.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have passed 8th from any recognized board and have at least 2 years’ experience of working as security personnel in a government or reputed organization at the district/state level. She should preferably be retired military/para-military personnel. No relaxation is given in the mandatory educational qualification.

• The experience certificate must be a full-time experience certificate issued by the employer of the institution concerned, attested or verified by a gazetted officer.
• A certificate of voluntary service of any kind is not accepted as experience.
• To get the benefit of experience, a copy of the appointment order must be attached; otherwise the benefit of experience cannot be given.
• The decision of the appointing authority, the District Collector, on accepting experience is final.

Age Limit

The candidate’s age on 01 January 2026 of the year of selection must not be less than 21 years and not more than 35 years. With all relaxations given under State Government instructions issued from time to time, the maximum age limit will not be more than 45 years. Age is verified from the birth certificate or the class 8th mark sheet showing the date of birth.

आयु सीमा 21 से 35 वर्ष है, लेकिन राज्य सरकार के नियमों के अनुसार अधिकतम 45 वर्ष तक की छूट मिल सकती है। जन्म तिथि प्रमाणित होनी चाहिए।

Other Eligibility Conditions

• The candidate must be a native (मूल निवासी) of Chhattisgarh; only a residence certificate issued by a competent authority is accepted.
• Knowledge of the local language/dialect is necessary.
• A candidate who married before the minimum age prescribed for marriage is not eligible; a selected candidate must give an affidavit on this on Rs. 50 stamp paper attested by a notary.
• A candidate who married a person who already has a living spouse is not eligible; the Government may exempt a case if satisfied that there are sufficient reasons.
• Employees of government/semi-government institutions must submit their application with the employer’s No Objection Certificate; otherwise the application will not be considered.
• A non-conviction certificate must be submitted at the time of applying.

Pay and Terms of Engagement

The service fee is Rs. 11360 per month (Level-1). Only the lump sum service fee is paid; no other pay, allowances or ex-gratia grant is payable. The service fee follows the limits and instructions of the Government of India, and will be raised only if the Government of India raises it.

• The first engagement is for a maximum of 2 years; after that the District Collector may extend it by 1 year each time, based on work ability, efficiency, conduct, department need and the controlling officer’s recommendation. If not extended, the engagement ends on its own.
• The engagement is fully temporary and may be ended without giving reasons; either side may end it with one month’s notice or one month’s pay instead.
• The posts last only as long as the Government of India runs the scheme; after that the posts will be abolished and the department will have no responsibility for the service providers.
• Service providers are entitled to maternity leave, and to travel allowance as per rules when sent on travel or training with approval.
• Service providers are governed by the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965.

• Security Guard/Night Guard will work in shifts to provide 24 hour service at OSC.
• The Security Guard/Night Guard would be responsible for the overall security of OSC.
• She/he would be responsible for safety of all capital assets, furniture and equipment at OSC.

The application must be submitted in the prescribed format (printed with the notice) at the district office on the walk-in date. Certificates, mark sheets and other documents must be attested by a gazetted officer or self-attested, and the originals with self-attested copies must be brought at the walk-in interview.

What Happens on the Day

A district-level selection committee follows a marks-based system and recommends candidates to the District Collector, who is the appointing authority and issues the appointment orders. The marks are given as follows:

From the merit list prepared on 80 marks, applicants are to be invited for the walk-in interview in a 1:10 ratio for each post. Knowledge of the local language/dialect is also judged during the walk-in interview. The final selection list is then prepared, and if candidates have equal marks, the older candidate gets preference. The decision of the District Collector on selection is final. No travel allowance or other allowance is paid for attending the walk-in interview.

Important Instructions

• The selected candidate must undergo police background verification before appointment and give the certificate to the office at the time of joining.
• The selected candidate must submit a fitness certificate after a medical examination within 01 month of selection; services will end if found unfit.
• After joining, the candidate must keep all work, victim and case information and data confidential and give an affidavit to that effect; a breach can lead to termination.
• Candidates must check their own eligibility; if found ineligible at any stage, the application may be cancelled and candidature ended.
• The advertisement and appointments are subject to the writ petition on reservation filed in the High Court, Bilaspur, and orders passed on it will bind appointed candidates.
