• Qualification: MEO Class I Certificate issued under Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 with 5 years experience as Chief Engineer or 5 years combined experience as Chief Engineer and 2nd Engineer on board a Foreign-going ship / Trailer Suction Hopper Dredger.

• Age limit: As per Recruitment Rules (as on 1 February 2027)

• Employed in any Major Port

The Deputy Manager (Marine Engineering) under the Marine Operations Division of Haldia Dock Complex oversees marine engineering functions, manages port vessels, dredgers, and associated machinery operations, ensures compliance with maritime regulations, and maintains operational readiness of port marine assets as per the administrative requirements of SMPA.
