Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow, will hold a walk-in interview on 2 November 2026 to fill 5 short-term posts. Four of these are Senior Resident (Hospital Services) posts in Surgical Oncology and Gynaecological Oncology, and one is a Medical Physics Resident post. Candidates must report at the Admin. Block by 09:30 AM. Anyone who arrives after 11:00 AM will not be allowed to take the interview. The upper age limit for both posts is 45 years, and the application fee is Rs. 500, paid by RTGS/NEFT before the interview.

A Senior Resident (Hospital Services) starts on an initial pay of Rs. 67,700, and a Medical Physics Resident starts on Rs. 35,400. Pay and allowances follow the 7th Pay Commission under State Government or institute rules.

सीनियर रेजिडेंट के लिए वेतन स्तर ज्यादा है और यह 7वीं वेतन आयोग के अनुसार मिलेगा। मेडिकल फिजिक्स रेजिडेंट का वेतन कम प्रारंभिक स्तर पर है, जो पदों के अलग-अलग जिम्मेदारियों को दर्शाता है।

The single Medical Physics Resident post is in the UR category. If no suitable EWS candidate applies, UR candidates will be considered for the EWS posts. The notice says the Resident positions are indicative only. They can increase or decrease at the time of the interview without notice, and will be filled as and when the services are started or expanded.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 45 years for both posts, counted as on the date of the interview.

उम्र की अधिकतम सीमा 45 वर्ष है जो इंटरव्यू की तारीख के अनुसार लागू होगी, यह उम्मीदवारों के लिए उम्र संबंधी पात्रता निर्धारित करती है।

Educational Qualification

Candidates must be registered with the Medical Council / Dental Council of U.P. The prescribed qualification is only the minimum requirement, and having it does not guarantee selection.

Age Relaxation and Reservation

Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates, government servants and other categories follows UP Government rules/DoPT rules. Reservation and age relaxation apply only to candidates with Uttar Pradesh domicile. OBC candidates must attach a self-attested copy of a caste certificate issued within the last 6 months.

Application Fee

The non-refundable fee is Rs. 500 (Rs. Five Hundred only). It must be paid by RTGS/NEFT to the following account:

Write the amount paid and the payment date on the application form, and enclose the payment receipt.

Important Dates

Selection Process

Candidates are selected through the walk-in interview, and their original documents are checked at the same time. The selection committee’s decision is final and binding, and no representations will be entertained. Results will be declared on the institute website (https://cancerinstitute.edu.in). Selected candidates will receive their appointment letter by email.

चयन केवल वॉक-इन इंटरव्यू के आधार पर होगा जिसमें दस्तावेज़ भी सत्यापित होंगे। चयन समिति का निर्णय अंतिम होगा और परिणाम आधिकारिक वेबसाइट पर प्रकाशित किया जाएगा। नियुक्ति पत्र ईमेल से भेजा जाएगा।

Service Conditions

• Tenure: 12 months. The contract expires automatically at the end of 12 months. It may be renewed at the absolute discretion of the Director, KSSSCI.
• No claim to a regular post: The appointment gives no right to a regular appointment, permanent absorption or continued contractual appointment.
• Termination: The institute can end the contract at any time without a notice period. An employee can leave by giving 30 days’ notice or salary in lieu of notice. Residents’ services may also be ended without notice if bonded candidates from DGME join the institute.
• Work: This is a whole-time appointment, and private practice of every kind is prohibited. Appointees work in shifts and can be posted anywhere in the institute.
• Accommodation: Appointees must stay in campus accommodation if it is provided.
• Leave: Leave is governed by the institute’s leave rules.
• Medical fitness: A certificate of medical fitness from a Medical Board designated by the institute is mandatory before joining.
• Travel allowance: No travelling or other allowance is paid for joining the post.
• Conduct: Taking part in any unlawful strike or agitation that is likely to affect patient care will lead to termination. Any form of canvassing disqualifies the candidate. Candidates must not have been convicted by any court of law.
• NOC: If an appointee is found to have hidden that they were in service without submitting a no-objection certificate, the appointment can be cancelled automatically at any stage.

The competent authority may change the number of vacancies, withdraw the process in full or in part, or reject any application. The Director may also cancel the advertisement at any time.
