Project Details

The JRF will carry out research and development work in line with the approved project objectives. The work focuses on paddy soaking, parboiling, milling and ageing of rice, and on extrusion processing.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years. Age is counted as on the last date for receipt of applications, which is 12 November 2026.

Preferred and Desirable

• Preference goes to candidates with prior research experience in operating and handling a twin-screw extruder, rice milling equipment and paddy parboiling equipment.
• Knowledge of machine design, CAD software, Artificial Intelligence–Machine Learning (AI-ML) modelling and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation is desirable.
• Qualifying GATE/NET or another relevant national-level examination is an additional advantage.
